For fighting games we have KOF Neowave, SCII, and Tekken Dark Resurrection, but there’s only a Tekken tourney announced. Last 2 weeks of May and it’s double elim.
Edit:I’ll most likely be working/helping run the tourney, but if anyone wants to get down on some 3rd Strike matches at my place afterwards just let me know. I’d like to someday get a gathering of all us upstate 3S players for a little tourney or casuals.
I would go if there was a 3s tournament…but sence there is not i guess i wont go…but thanks for the info :tup: just tell me when there is a 3s/CE tourny and im there!
I’d be interested in throwing a 3S tourney if we can get enough people together…so it may take awhile and advance planning. We need an upstate NY ranbat :lol:
It could be possible if we got almost everyone from this thread plus 2 of my friends play 3S.
I’d also like to do a little SFII tourney but why do you guys play champ edition compared to ST or Hyper?

OMG i was sooo suprised I went to crossgates mall at cyber space acrcade they had a SF2 MAME machine (it has SF2-SFA2) and people actually play it they were all guile players accept one who was ryu and if anyone lives by crossgates (im 30-45 minutes away) we could get in some SF2 games that would be sweet
CE is the most balanced but on the MAME machine at crossgates CE is fucked up so i play hyper (turbo the one after CE with chun’s fire ball) because it almost the same as CE accept chun is amazing and i play chun well and the speed is diffrent from CE…ST is just for fireball throws like alex valle who just know how to SRK and hadouken and by hyper i assume you mean the console version on SF the 3s is good on console but the SF2 sucks as a matter of fact we call it garbage addition because of 2 hit dizzies and redizzy combos…but if you had a hyper tournament that was closer then 3 hours away i would go

I thought CE was the one with the crazy fireball srk traps with Ryu, Ken, and Sagat. Bison was nuts in that game too if you can get people on blockstun the whole match. I think they balanced it out a little more with turbo but then again I never really played SFII series seriously as 3S so I don’t know many little differences. I’d be down for either turbo or ST games I play turbo chun and st Fei.
OHHHHHHHHHH CHUN MADNESS HERE TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO in turbo…but seriously we should really play together and crossgates is near albany i think it is exit 1S i think i would have to look it up its real easy to find but it is 1/2 hours away from where I live so i wouldnt go down there enless you guys would…the have T5 too but no one really plays that,thats good me and my bro own at SF2 but its not the real sf2 its a mame machine so if you see us swearing thats why 
EDIT: the sticks are really lose there but you get used to them…its really hard to SRK
EDIT again: and CE is more balanced then turbo IMO they added to many things to people uscha hadou with chun and blankas upward roll and dilsim’s teleport oh well thats your opoinoion

Yea so it is the crossgates in Albany. I’m about an hour to hour and a half away from it but I could make the trip. This weekend isn’t good tho, I’m working all Fri and Sat and have tests to study for and projects for Sunday. I’m actually pretty booked until after the second week of May which is when my finals are over. After that week I’ll be down for getting some games in with you guys.
cool…ya its like 30-45 minutes away from us to…but we are always willing for some offline comp…imagine if they get 3S there…Mert would never go but i would be there sooo much pwning people

i dont do either…but i do play 3s and SF2…and we might meet at crossgates to paly SF2 at the cyberspace arcade they have a mame machine…we hope to meet in a week or two
I play the SF machine and Tekken 5DR at crossgates. More often on the DR machine though.
Funny, the first time I blazed and played mvc2 was my last. It was awesome and I was laying a beatdown at my arcade but the next time I went to play it the cabinet was gone:annoy:
My arcade sucks, they got rid of 3rd Strike and MvC2. Now all we have is SC2, KOF Neowave, and Tekken DR and of course I don’t play any of them but thinking of picking up Tekken since the comp here is good.
Nitewalker, would you be down for meeting up in like 2 weeks with me, Mert, and Hurricanekick if it goes down? Also do you have 3rd Strike for live? Just asking cuz there shouldn’t be much lag between us.
I’m gonna need to lay off 3rd Strike and play some SF2 since I haven’t played in ages. I’ll probly be taking a beating.
Yeah definitely. I do have 3rd strike for XBL. Just have to update my XBL account (haven’t played in ages). But yeah definitely down for some games. Just post or Pm when it’s all gonna go down.
