Wow, at TX qualifiers being added out of nowhere to this event.
Since I’m undecided about attending TX itself and that I haven’t booked this day off of work, I probably won’t be able to attend.
Qualifiers should go to top 1 or top 2 only. One tourney cannot yield 5 spots, because that’s just insane. And I highly doubt jamie/rey don’t deserve autospots…

After today’s HD team tourny it’s gotten me really hyped on HD again. I’m going to make it out to this even though I’m coming from downtown Toronto. If anyone can help me out on a ride I’ll pitch gas. I’d love a chance to rep gtasf against montreal, i need to train up a lot more though, esp in the chun matchup ugh.

I think the main problem with your Boxer is you headbutt way too much. Sometimes its not a bad idea to block a fireball or two and pick better spots than just to headbutt through every one of them. Smart rushdown > blind rushdown.
I’d say also learn to use Balrog without holding down turn punch too. There’s nothing wrong with using this method but its good to learn to play without it too. Balrog’s ducking mk and fk are both very good and insane rushdown tricks with dashing uppercut can help your rushdown game a bit.
You can see some examples of some insane Balrog rushdown in this X-Mania 5 clip starting at about 4:50 into the vid. 5:45 until about 6:10 will blow your mind.

Thanks a lot for the tips and matches Jamie. I only really get comp in HD in ranked matches on the box and I’m so used to using that tap because it always works online. I’m definitely going to mix up more with the mk and fk and dash uppers though, that vid was INSANE. It almost looked like SF4 balrog in fast motion.
