UPDATED (3/10/2012) "This will be over in a nanosecond" - UMvC3 QuickQuestion/QuickAnswer

At the end of any Zero combo ending in a hard knockdown (j.:s: from launch) call Skrull Tenderizer, otg with j.:qcf::h: s.:s: :dp::uf::l: jump release buster :dp::l: :qcf::uf::h: :qcf::atk::atk:

or

Skrull Tenderizer, otg with j.:qcf::h: s.:s: :dp::uf::l: :qcb::atk::atk: jump release buster :dp::l: [:dp::uf::l:]*6 jump release buster :dp::l: :qcf::uf::h: :qcf::atk::atk:

With Tenderizer, you can get two lighting dives in before releasing the level 3 buster and diving again.

nice. gotta get those lightning loops down now.

Question as to why Shippuga loop seems to be impossible for me. After I execute the first light attack, once the first Shippuga is complete I cannot open a new light attack because Iā€™m charging the buster. What am I doing Incorrectly? Iā€™ve been trying to understand it on my own for the past ever and a half or so and I cannot come to a logical conclusion. Can someone help me out?

To do the Shippuga loop you have to switch charge buttons. At bare minimum it should look like this:

:l:(hold :l:) :m: c.:h: :f::h:(release :l:, hold :h:) :l: (release :h:, hold :l:) :m: c.:h: :f::h: (release :l:, hold :h:) :l: (release :h:, hold :l:) :m: :h: :f::h:

You donā€™t have to do your charge switches in exactly that order and you can work in holding :m: if you want (I do). Just do what feels comfortable. It will take some time to learn.

Fixed, otherwise the buster shot will be released every time.

Oopsā€¦ Sorry yeah Duke is right. My mind was probably elsewhere when I typed that because I got a big job offer yesterday ^^.

Does anyone know instant guaranteed mix-ups on a snapped in phoenix? Word on the street is zero indeed does have one. I donā€™t mind blowing my xfactor. Iā€™ve heard you can rekkoha, xf cancel, and command dash behind for a cross-up but I donā€™t get the chance to play phoenix players much.
I run Dante with Trish if those assists help.

Hey guys, thinking of picking up Deadpool, Zero, Doom as a team since I want to expand to some higher execution characters than my usual team (Wolvie, Task, Akuma). I built it around being able to dhc glitch from 'Pool to Zero but Iā€™m having a couple issues with finishing the glitch. I know the d loop is a corner combo but my current Pool combo leaves Zero about 2/3 screen away from the corner. Is there some way to carry the combo over to the corner and transition into it or is there some better way to finish it in this case? Zeros shadows tend to screw up my traditional zero combos.

I run Deadpool/Zero/Taskmaster. The best DHC setup from 3/4 screen (to get the opponent into the corner) I use is

c.:l:, c.:m:, c.:h:, xx :m: Katana-Rama xx Chimichangas, dash, c.:h:, :s:, j.:m:, j.:m:, j.:h:, j.:s:, land, dash, :h: Katana-Rama xx Chimichangas xx Cuttinā€™ Time

When you DHC into Zero, you need to walk until youā€™re on the other side of the opponent (facing the corner) before you launch them with :s:, or you canā€™t do the D-Loop.

Comboing from Sougenmu is easy mid-screen, though. Just jeep doing j.:m:, j.:m:, j.:h:, then smack them with the buster.

You can do some pretty hilarious stuff from an Ammy slow DHC glitch with Zeroā€¦not quite Dante+Ammy hilarious but still quite hilariousā€¦

I may have to go back on my word that my last video would be my last one for a while.

Midscreen DHC glitch from Ammy (one example, thereā€™s better stuff ^^):

:s: j.:m::m: Buster :dp::l: land :s: j.:m::m: slight delay, Buster :dp::l: land :s: j.:m::m::h::s: into whatever combo ender you can do with your assists

So Iā€™m guessing no one here knows the snapped in phoenix set-upā€¦:frowning:

there isnā€™t a ā€œguaranteedā€ setup.
A good setup is :h: teleport, level 3 buster release behind her (follow up with :l: lightning - combo) right when she comes in.
With trishā€™ assist you can use the trap where phoenix comes in and then cross under her when she is entering the screen; once she is caught in the trap sheā€™s dead.
You can also simply try an air throw.

Iā€™m more fond of the rekkoha while sheā€™s coming in and xfc rekkoha again to chip her to death. Thatā€™s pretty guaranteed. Then if you have another character on your team whoā€™s chip heavy you can finish her off if that didnā€™t do the trick.

Shameless self promotion.

Best Phoenix (or anyone) snap in setup is shoot a meaty Level 3 Buster while calling an assist (preferably Drones,) and either command dash down, forward (for cross up) or lighting dive (for anti push block)

If they try to mash air dash up or otherwise donā€™t block, they get hit by the buster which leads to a full combo. If they block it, you have the cover of your assist to mix them up enough times where itā€™s pretty much guaranteed. High, low, cross up low, cross up overhead, etc. You could even do a forward throw and OTG. If they arenā€™t push blocking you, odds are they are holding down a partner button. Just block the tag in and snap in again.

Sorry but I disagree.
To do what you suggested you need too much meter.
1 meter for the snap back
1 meter for the first rekkoha
XFC
1 meter for the second rekkoha
1 meter for the DHC
= 4 meter (itā€™s impossible to chip to death Phoenix with just 2 rekkoha in level 2 X-factor, you need level 3. But if you have only one char, your opponent will surely have his 5 meter).

I think you probably didnā€™t try it with advance guard active for the dummy character.

If you want to burn your X-factor itā€™s better to use it with a rekkoha while sheā€™s coming in: Rekkoha, XFC, :m: teleport to cross under her, :h: Ryuenjin and you kill her also in level 1 x-factor.

Two posts above your one

Anyone have any advice on Songenmu at midscreen other than projectile spam?
