update out now

I will try it out with the wired connection and see if there is a difference. When I played it online wireless, I had 3 bars constantly. Did anyone else have 3 bars?

Hahaha weird. Jarvis represent

I expect the XBL version to have a better online than PSN. Not starting a console war or anything but this also has happened with SF4 on both versions. It really sucks cause PS3 has the clans and X360 doesnt.

Well if your opponent doesnt have an equal setup you gonna have issues.

they keep saying they are working with Microsoft

and M$ knows about that online

i was just browsing through the rankings and it kept acquiring too much so they need to fix that.

ahah sorry i should’ve said we have the same “first” name…

I’m the Robert B that posted on the KOF thread lol:cool:

True. I have a network of computers in my house and the wife get’s online all the time. I can’t hog the online service for my games when she wants to get online also. That would cause an arguement imo. I’ll try to hook it up when the wife is sleeping to see if there’s a difference between wired and wireless.

Hahah yeah it’s cool. Roberts represent! Funny seeing people’s real names from SRK in the KOF Facebook discussions.

<---------- Real Name :smokin:

btw any update to when the xbl update will come out? I know the FB page said “soon”.

Speeds a LOT better, now it only moves slightly slower than offline.

On the PlayStation blog there is a new post regarding the game. Maybe that would be another good place to mention some woes due to the online. Hopefully we can get some answers too.

They should add a back button to this bitch.

Shin, Keep in mind that you must do both of them to achieve the best connection possible. With wireless you only get a maximum of 54mbps whereas wired gets you 100mbps which makes a huge difference.

Also, if you use cell phones, radios, all of these use the same frequency as the wireless connection so that can also affect the online gameplay as well. With a wired connection that has its ports forwarded, not only do you get smooth online play, but you get it at its ultimate connection speed since the ports are now open… More information can travel through your ethernet connection.

here’s the link for the playstation network ports.

and use this portchecker tool to make sure you’ve properly opened your ports. There are many cases where people think they’ve properly forwarded their ports and to their surprise it hasn’t. Port checker will give you 100% accuracy.

I STRONGLY recommend this to anyone who plays online using wireless… do the right thing and switch to wired… Your PS3 will love you for it.

SNK seems to try too hard for minimal results… …

The fact KOF XII’s netcode is crappy is not a surprise to me. They couldn’t get it right for KOF98UM and Garou, and despite all the claims they received, it’s still the way it is.
At least we can observe an attempt being made for KOF XII, but the recent update simply don’t cut it. I sincerely doubt about a second patch coming tomorrow, what’s the point to release a 722MB patch knowing you would have to patch again few hours later (I would be glad to be wrong though).

Capcom, Arksys and Namco all do a really good job being present in many international conventions/ fighting tournaments. The fact we don’t see SNK playmore amongst them reveals quite a bit about the current priorities, don’t you think ?

Chinese outsourcing.

they need to fix it cause it made the game crash after i beat someone to look through my messages. thank god i did not get a corrupted data file

It actually was SLIGHTLY, BARELY better, I noticed it, but like I said, JUST BARELY.

thats not saying much

i lost a critical match due to its lag… =[
