Just thought of sharing that Ive recently discovered a chat room for Japan SSF4(PS3) and its really awesome since its a community with a good number of active players ranging from total beginners to top players(zangitan frequents the chat, and i guess a bunch of other people im not sure who they really are), ive been getting good practice with a lot of characters that i dont really get to fight often(good ones too), and i get to ask questions and discuss on how to improve my gameplay etc, its a bonus that most of them are real nice too, especially towards beginners/people learning the game or matchup, so far i havent experienced any shit talkin or people givin destructive criticism lol(im sure there are times where they do that)… granted the whole thing is in japanese and sometimes it can be hard for me to grasp the content when the chat moves too fast.
They also hold online ranbats(beginner/open) every week…
Damn that’s really nice! Too bad I don’t know Japanese or I would be ALL ON THAT seriously. That’d be a lot more help than the character forums cause you get to talk to grandmasters about specific issues.
Also, if you’re in Japan, go to Shibuya’s Shinjuku Sportsland. Seriously, you won’t regret it. It is awesome, the owner is fuck awesome, it’s cheap as hell on Thursdays/Sundays, and you will get A LOT BETTER. I have lost count of how many grandmasters I’ve seen there: TKD, Mago, TUC, Neurosis, PPN, Kirisuto, Fuudo, etc.

yeah i guess its kinda far. im takin the night bus on saturday @1140pm, ETA 630am the next morning. event is gonna be from 11am till 8pm, maybe hang out with them ppl for dinner etc then leave at 2230pm and reach shinjuku 6am. im expectin to reach home at around 7-8am and chill for a bit before going to school for a 120pm class LMAO what a tight schedule.
so im not entering but imma be there to play casuals and meet up with some people, get my godsgarden tshirt(if i can fit into japan XL size lol) and make new friends… just got off an online session with a lot of good players (notably zangitan and a really good boxer)…
i bought my tickets for 6600yen(return ticket), its possible to find cheaper tickets i guess.
