I’d donate if it could help keep this place open. This was one of my favorite spots, and one of my favorite memories last year was teaming with the owner (never caught his name) and Vanao in a random 3s 3v3.

im plannin to go there a lil bit early tomorrow, maybe can grab summin to eat first

may go by there tonight. lookin for 3s comp

Me and my roomie will be there around when the freeplay starts. We’re both Asian but obviously Gaijin.

ah okay im asian/gaijin too and my spoken english is not so good lmao

man, cant wait to be there, its really been a longggggg time.

Where you from hfz? I figured you were from America. I guess I assumed wrong lol.

im from Malaysia. lol

p/s - never assumeee

Lol. Nice.

I’ll be there. If you read this before you leave Max, let me know if you’re taking sticks.

I can… want me to?

lol i was too shy to approach ppl i dont really know

wished i could stay longer but my back was killing me plus i have early class tomorrow…

ah well, maybe next time

Lol shit, you were there? Damn, we were looking for you! This is me and my roommates (as well as Cha0tix’s) last time there for freeplay. Oh well, maybe next year or something haha.

yeah i was the dude who played abel and only abel.

Just thought of sharing that Ive recently discovered a chat room for Japan SSF4(PS3) and its really awesome since its a community with a good number of active players ranging from total beginners to top players(zangitan frequents the chat, and i guess a bunch of other people im not sure who they really are), ive been getting good practice with a lot of characters that i dont really get to fight often(good ones too), and i get to ask questions and discuss on how to improve my gameplay etc, its a bonus that most of them are real nice too, especially towards beginners/people learning the game or matchup, so far i havent experienced any shit talkin or people givin destructive criticism lol(im sure there are times where they do that)… granted the whole thing is in japanese and sometimes it can be hard for me to grasp the content when the chat moves too fast.

They also hold online ranbats(beginner/open) every week…

Damn that’s really nice! Too bad I don’t know Japanese or I would be ALL ON THAT seriously. That’d be a lot more help than the character forums cause you get to talk to grandmasters about specific issues.

Also, if you’re in Japan, go to Shibuya’s Shinjuku Sportsland. Seriously, you won’t regret it. It is awesome, the owner is fuck awesome, it’s cheap as hell on Thursdays/Sundays, and you will get A LOT BETTER. I have lost count of how many grandmasters I’ve seen there: TKD, Mago, TUC, Neurosis, PPN, Kirisuto, Fuudo, etc.

yo whatchu talkin about are you recommending me to go to shibuya sportsland?

plus the place is going to be closed soon, the owner told me that he’s going to try and get something going at the shinjuku branch.

Yeah, dude, Hafiz is one of the OGs at Shibuya Sportsland.

Uhh… sorry if that’s what it seemed like I was implying. I didn’t want to make a double post. I was trying to tell everyone who would be reading the thread to go. Obviously I knew you were a regular haha, you’ve made countless posts in this thread.
Anyway, yeah the owner told us it’d be closing around mid August.

man… i wanted to go to NSB but i cant find 2 teammates in time… i think the registration’s closed already… sigh

I’d love to team up with you. But that’s way too far for me to travel. Unless I’m thinking of the wrong place and it’s actually not in Nagoya. If you live in Kanagawa, isn’t that far for you as well?
