Unused Character Sketches

1st. most sf characters were made over a decade ago, where they had to be simplistic to convert to those 2d sprites(not much detail in the designs).

2nd. give me an example of how im hatin??? cant do it

3rd. and MY point is hes only a sketch(meaning they tossed the idea) and last time i checked ken was wearing his threads.

First, don’t respond to me in numerical fasion! It makes me rage with a fury none have ever seen, before! Secondly, you hatin’ on a playa King Cobra Afro Joe, fa’sho.

And lastly, Ken’s whiteboy ass always trying to be hip, and jack Afro Joe’s swag, that Jive Ass Turkey!

I like the gi that black guy was wearing. These guys are here to fight, not conduct business deals. That’s probably why Urien and Gill fought in thongs. Can’t be very flexible in a tux.

i show no respect for ppl who dont respect me.

“stop hatin BITCHES” maybe you dont remember that.

New artbook coming out. Hopefully all those awesome sketches are included in it

I like the King Kobra dude but seriously.

Capcom dev head- “we need more street fighters!”

Capcom dev team - “Blond Ryu, Evil Ryu, Old Ryu, Girl Ryu, Terrible at fighting Ryu”

Capcom dev head - “wow we are so creative!”

Capcom dev team - “Black Ryu?”

Capcom dev head - “Come on people, that’s ridiculous.”

Well, okay, he does need an attire change, but c’mon. Someone said earlier that SF is based off of stereotypes…Yea, this much is true. For African American stereotypes, we’ve got the wacky boxer, the Jamaican who jives to the rhythm…and that’s it.

Each of the new characters fit some sort of stereotype as well…Rufus is the fat American who speaks before he thinks, C.Viper is your standard CIA agent, El Fuerte is the standard luchador (Except he has the chef thing going on) and Abel loosely fits the ‘emo amnesiac French guy’ stereotype. We need a black guy with an afro who is badass and sort of evil.

It’s clear from the SF3 art posted earlier and the King Cobra art that Capcom has wanted to make something like this for a while, they just haven’t found the right attire/style yet. I like King Cobra’s body/face/etc, just needs to change the clothing so people don’t automatically think ‘Shoto’ when they see him.

Hell, Capcom could stick him in really baggy jeans that show the guy’s boxers, leave his shirt off, lay on the scars, and give him some chains and a gold grill. It’d give him the thug/gamgsta stereotype that I don’t like, but it’d open up the moveset to a more unrefined and brutal street-fighting style rather than karate or some other established martial art like everyone else seems to have

I like how they gave El Fuerte a frying pan so the names of his moves wouldn’t seem as vaguely racist. You almost expect Border Hop Strike.

Street Fighting… in street fighter… you don’t make any goddamn sense.

Using stereotypes, being extreme far ends of the spectrum can give you a very diverse cast,:china:

I’d like to see a Jew-Ninja (with star of David ninja stars) , or maybe flaming homosexaul fighter (Fab-u-lus-Finish!)

Definately need more ninjas in SF4.

Cobra should have been in the game.
I still don’t like Rufus, even if I am trying really hard to find redeeming qualities in the character.
(I just really really hate the character’s appearance)

How did they pick a man with a beach ball for a body with a GIANT happy trail over a character like Cobra?

Capcom, you suck.

I vote they don’t add in T. Hawk or DeeJay. Just add in Cobra.

 So true.

Cobra looks naff just so  (espec if he was another Shoto)

Seth, Deejay and Rufus are all pony designs as well.

The mark of my mushroom print shall scar thy forhead?

Anyone thinking of any kind of backstory that would’ve been given to Cobra?

Nsfw

There’s a movie coming out about it soon, actually.

Oh god…

…I’m so going to watch that movie.

Fuck yes.

King Cobra has made an appearance.

…When is that art book coming out?

one of the unused sketches characters costume is now Kens Alternate costume

Actually, I’d like a non-flaming, normal acting homosexual fighter so we have that bizzare moment where he complains about Vega acting too flaming.

I am glad they did not use any of the unused characters, they all looked lame like Sean from SFIII.

Think the fellow on the first page had it right. Lets get Butt in here. while we’re at it, get on the horn to SNK. Lend em… say… uh… Boxer and Ken for a game, and see if we can get some Mark of the Wolves Styled Terry Bogard in SF4 as well.

Who needs vs games, just pass a couple chars back and force every release.
