Square Enix should never exist. Iām still slightly lost in the whole reason why such a company came to be. Here you have the two giants of the RPG genre (at least in Japan) with Squaresoft having the Final Fantasy series and Enix the Dragon Quest series. Eventually these companies merge and whatās the result? A lot of terrible games with a few good games sprinkled around in there.
Already since their merger the entire Mana series has officially become dead to me. I understand that the Mana games have been declining for a great while but look at what weāve gotten in the past year: Children of Mana, Dawn of Mana, and Heroes of Mana. Amongst them I havenāt heard too many bad things about Heroes of Mana but the review s are still lukewarm to it at the very best. As for Children of Mana, Iāve never stopped playing a game so fast in my entire life.
Something else, Final Fantasy V deserves a lot more attention than itās getting. Itās a very good game but a lot of people skip the game entirely when discussing Final Fantasy. Itās always IV this or VI and VII that but V gets very little love. The game did extremely well with the job system at the time and this probably helped to influence how the job system worked in Tactics. Also, the story, while not epic and serious to a fault, had more humor than Iāve seen in Final Fantasy and it worked well.
This game had potentialā¦too bad the 32X didnāt.
In Japan and Europe, Winning Eleven usually curbstomps FIFA in sales from what I understand.
But in North America/South America, all the Latinos donāt give a shit about WE for some reason.
Being that I donāt know/care about anything related to soccer and donāt know enough Spanish to ask, Iām sort of in the dark about why exactly this is. I think it has to do with the fact that WE doesnāt have some Mexican teams that FIFA does or something.
Nevertheless, to all of the āMexicansā that come into my store, I try to sell them on WE over FIFA.
Not because I give a shit about soccer, mind you, but because I try to do everything in my power to make the EA empire fail.
Not that it really matters, since every year I have to end up shilling DAT MADDEN if I want to keep my jobā¦god I hate myself.

I hated Okami. I heard all this great stuff about it, get it, and it has to be one of the most boring disengaging games I ever played. I tried to give it a second chance, after more reassurance about the games quality, but I just couldnāt stomach the loong intro to the game it was just too painful.
The Virtual On series either rapes or inspires your favorite mecha game.

This might not be an unpopular opinion, but good lord I hate Armored Core. Especially the fucking cpu. I canāt target a motherfucker because heās jumping on my fucking head. If I wanted to play CS, Iād play that. Not geratric overheating Robotz 64.

Super Mario Bros. Lost Levels was trash. They made it difficult to the point of not being fun anymore. The difficulty on that was way out of step with the entire Mario franchiseā¦it was actually noticeably out of place as a result. (*heh, that reminds meā¦that āHardest Super Mario Bros. Mod Everā vid is still funny to me.)
Perfect Dark Zero was so bad it was funnyā¦much like that show One Pieceās english intro theme. I canāt believe there are people that seriously liked that game. This isnāt entirely too āunpopularā though, as that game got mixed reactionsā¦

Yeah, a lot of people hate Armored Core with a passion, but the whole interface in-game is kind of cool. If the game had a better learning curve, it would be awesome.
Another opinion, my girl got me hooked on Diner Dash. First for cell phone, and now she made me get it for her pink DS, which you can see me play a lot now.

I didnāt like Oden Sphere.It is a solid game,but I am not a firm believer in the hype.The game is far too repetitive for me,but I understand that there is only so much that you can do to make a 2-D RPG interesting,and the developers tried their best.
Super Mario World 2:Yoshiās Island was better than Super Mario World.The game seems so much more refreshing than Super Mario World,which even little girlās have beaten with relative ease.
