Final Fantasy is lame and boring, if it wasn’t for the cool graphic cut scenes, I wouldn’t give that crap any attention.
-The DMC and MGS series are decent games, but not the coming of the messiah they are always made out to be
-Tekken 2 > Tekken 3
-GTA’s birdeye view > 3D world
-Yoshi’s Story was good
-Winning Eleven is the best sports sim out there, but it’s still overrated slightly
-Rare fell off. HARD.
-Online gaming didn’t kill arcades, the consoles themselves did.
I never got into some of the major franchises that people go nuts over such as: Final Fantasy, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Kingdom Hearts…etc.
But I do get flak from friends for not liking Halo. I really can’t stand playing that game. The graphics and gameplay might be great on a technical level but for some reason it just doesn’t hold my attention for more than 5 minutes.
Either way, I think the MOST unpopular gaming opinion anyone could have is that they thoroughly enjoyed The Bouncer for PS2.
IIRC, Devil May Cry 3 and God of War came out around the same time. During that time, I was playing Devil May Cry 3 and enjoying the hell out of it, and no matter where I went on the internet, it was always about God of War and people bitching about which game was better.
Because of it, I’m almost glad to see someone dislike God of War.
May or may not be an unpopular opinion: Tactics was the best game in the FF series.
And although FFT was fucking great and memorable for me, there’s just some small tidbits that IMO make Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together SLIGHTLY better then FFT. Both great games though, don’t get me wrong.
One last thing: I actually LIKED the controls in the Resident Evil series (pre-RE4). Fuck people who REFUSE to play the fucking games just because they can’t figure out the controls.
- River City Ransom was just awsome and it need to be remade.
- That BurgerKing game with the Bumper Cars Hockey is more fun any game I’ve played on the Wii.
- Skies of Arcadia is the best RPG I’ve ever played. Airship battles!
- Final Fantasy X-2 was better than X and it was just as funny as it was chessy as hell! (Riku won the comedy award that year! Seriously, she was on some Power Puff retarded Bubbles sh!t)
- Kefka (FF3) > Sephiroth (FF7) "Fallen Angel Bitch! I will kill your Entire Party! Not 4… all 12 of ya!
- Mario 64 was tight a hell!
- The Dreamcast was before it’s time.
- Super Smash Brother > SSBM
- Bouncer was cool (I want some red inseam super cuff jeans like colt.
- Mariokart 64 Battle Mode owns all!
- Moero Justice Gakuen (Project Justice) HAS THE BEST CHARACTER EDIT FEATURE EVER! The “Nikki” was ruthless. Eventhough it’s all in Japanese. It’s probally one of the most easiest games to pick up. “Rule #1: Don’t walk around without any friends!”
- Madden was tight but you can’t forget Mutant League Football and Super Tecmo Bowl.
- F-ZERO is the fastest shit you will ever play!
- Tricky is the Best version of SSX
- Saga Frontier is the hardest game ever. I played it for about 2 years… I never beat it.
- Lost Planet is cooler than Halo.
- RUN and GUN was the shit! (arcade Basketball)
- NBA Live 95 was the shit! (console Basketball)
- Baseball Stars, best baseball game ever! (Needs to be remade!)
God of War is just too slow compared to DMC. Thanks to DMC, I can enjoys the wonder of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in my golden years. What did I get from GoW? Nothing.
Halos 1 was awesome and far better than 2.
Castlevania 64 was fun.
Resident Evil gamecube remake is the Best RE game ever.
Agreed. It’s Resident Evil perfected in terms of visuals and mood. Ah…it’s beautiful
Capcom needs to remake RE2. I think I would cry tears of joy if that was ever announced.
Winning eleven totally owns any fifa game!
as of matter of fact, any soccer game ever made!
nuff said.
I thought everyone already knew this. FIFA? That shit is wack.
Also, Battletoads is the best NES game ever made, fuck mario and zelda.
It’s more fun to watch your 56 year old aunt play Crazy Taxi than it is to play it yourself.
FMV cutscenes ruined RPGs.
99.9% of NES games suck fucking balls.
Streets of Rage 1+2 is the only good game on Genesis.
Sierra Adventure games are dope as fuck and need to come back. (Leisure Suit Larry, King’s Quest, Police Quest etc…)
I really don’t like spoken dialogue during cut-scenes in RPGs; action/adventure? That’s fine, but there’s alot of dialogue in an RPG to begin with, let me read it at my own pace, please.
Wow, just wow. But isn’t that TWO games?
Yeah, but it’s basically the same game. Genesis is gay, I’m drunk.
New Super Mario on DS was lame shit
Don’t adventure games have a LOT of dialogue too? @_@

That “secret within a secret” in DKC1 made me want to slap a child. I didn’t reach 101% for a freaking year.
-
DKC3 should’ve starred Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. Or, if Diddy was deemed too popular at the time… Luigi.
-
Parrying should cost meter and/or life and/or stun damage and/or quarters.
-
Fighting games that “rumble the screen” when powerful hits connect do a much better job of making said powerful hits look like they actually hurt.
-
Haggar needs to be the main Capcom guy in CvS3. Andy Bogard the main SNK guy.
-
In terms of coolness, Tarma > Marco/Eri > Ralf/Nadia/Trevor/Clark >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Fio.
-
Ralf in Metal Slug 6 is not nearly as broken as he seems. Marco is FAR more broken than his innate ability would lead you to believe. Tarma would be MvC2 God Tier level if only he had reliable access to a Slug in every level. And, as always, Fio just sucks.

Crash Bandicoot 2/Warped are better than most Japanese platformers, 3D or otherwise.
Tough call. Depends on the voice acting and the ability to turn this off or not. Text in RPGs will never die, but at the same time, imagining a voice for a character is far more annoying than reading various amounts of Text. Some games do this very well and Squaresoft had no trouble with doing this well in in their FMVs. I wished that Vagrant Story has voice overs for one. If done correctly, with a feature to turn it off, I’d say yay towards it. Just don’t make Cam Clarke play a loner again(Grandia II).
Wasn’t that DKC 2?
:lovin:
