But guess what? Poor niggas can afford gaming PC’s! I was able to afford building a decent desktop back in 2007, which was a little bit more than what you spent. Since then, I only upgraded Gtx 480 and maybe 6gb of ram.

At the end of the day. I’m regretting this shit, as the only games I play on it are emulating DC, GCN, and Model 3 titles.

Shouldn’t you be using that extra money for sending your kids to a prestigious private school or something? Shouldn’t you be wisely spending your ends on something useful? Like car repairs, or anything of the sort?

This is probably one of the best times to be a PC gamer because not only do you have PC “exclusives” and emulation, but companies are starting to port AAA titles to PC.

I love how tons of good fighting games like AE/Skullgirls/KoF get pc ports.
As soon as I’ve recovered from my arcade stick purchase, I’m gonna get me some Skullgirls action.

Game looks like one of the best fighters since quite some time and deserves some more exposure.

Would love them to do a real 1v1 fighter.

Tell me, as ive yet to play such a game, how old are some of these games?

Edit - In the 3 or 4 years Ive been gaming on PC ive only had issues with one game. Driver Updates made it so I couldnt launch Portal 2. Was an easy fix.

Typically you’ll only run into these issues with games from 2005 &/before. But games like Half-Life 1 will always be kept up to date by Valve.

Btw I started Portal 2 today after getting my new laptop. I’m at the part where you’re introduced to the slip n’ slide gel.

The biggest issue of gaming on PC is when games lose compatibility. Games that are no longer supported won’t keep up with new drivers/operating system/etc.

So it’s up to the community to create solutions or find a fix. That’s just sad. =_=

I’m still playing games from the early 90’s with no issues and I don’t even need the GOG version to do so. I don’t even need to try and fix anything to get them to run, either.

GOG releases of old games will work on any modern PC/OS regardless of how new your drivers/hardware is.

Well Steam sucks for this reason, lol. They don’t care if you bought a non working item.

Games like GTA3, Max Payne 1, will run with a mouse or sound problem. Manhunt wont even run at all! All because of a broken .exe that Rockstar won’t care to fix. Damn.

The best thing about PC gaming is the console and arcade games you can play on it, not the actual games made for PC.

I liked the HDR soundtrack, well mainly the remix of Cammy and Boxer’s stage. Hating on those is pretty ridiculous. I’d put Cammy’s theme as the best of the SF2 music. I’d put Fei’s SFIV theme as the best in that series. EX plus @ has the best SF OST of all time.

No mention of 3rd Strikes music?? I smell another unpopular opinion.

The only good A3 is Double upper, too bad it came out so late and on PSP. Otherwise A3 sucks, especially music wise.

EX series shits on all other SF games music wise, and EX Alpha and EX2+ are two of the best SF games.

Edit: Emulation is an added perk of gaming on PC’s, it’s not why you put together a gaming rig, just an awesome added feature if you decide to use it. It seems that went over your head.

I thought Resident Evil 2 was garbage.
Game was so easy, I’ve beaten both cds and finished my speedruns in a week.

RE3 was so much more enjoyable.

i dont think many people can beat RE2 as Tofu, RE2 story is still 100 times better then RE3 also
