Well, it seems to be the next big puzzle game (since, last I remember, Tetris…) so that’s why I mentioned it.

Not to say I don’t enjoy Lumines, I’m just saying, Tetris > Most puzzle games.

Course, my favourite puzzle game of the last gen is Shadow of the Colossus.

I agree with the fact that Square should bring back some of it’s other IPs. It’s bullshit that all we’re getting is one FF after the next with FF sequels and prequels. Yeah, FF is it’s biggest money maker, but Heaven forbid if some of us want something different. Some of those properties end up being better than the FF for that year. Granted, Brave Fencer Musashi didn’t come out the same year as FFVIII, but it was still the better game of the two in that one year time span.

FFXII and FFIX have been the only two good FF games released in the Sony era.

yeah, I tried Lumines out of curiosity on Live Arcade…and it’s just “ok”…much like Tetris is simply “ok” for me. I liked this old flash puzzle battle game called Iron Stomach…it at least had some comedy to it.(stereotypical black guy character “Darnell” eats chicken and watermelon, for example. It should still be out there, just google “Iron Stomach” flash.) Lumines is certainly not worth all those ms points, at least not for me. 1200 right off, plus more points for the rest of the game? Get outta here with that.

I also hear “but I won’t let you goooooo…inside me…” on that MvC2 track. I’ve listened to this music for years, and listened closely to that part to make sure. It definitely sounds like “inside me”. I specifically hear the “n”, and the lack of “x” that makes it “inside” rather than “excite”.

-The first TMNT on NES was terrible piece of shit excuse for a game. It was a frustrating, borderline impossible mess that had nothing “fun” going on at any point. I’m sure the folks that liked it only had that opinion because there was no choice, as it was the only TMNT game you could play at home on a console.

Replay value is an important factor in my evaluation of a game’s worth, and it seems to be nonexistent here. Once you have completed the cases, I assume there’s nothing left, right? I dunno about rental. The cases get ridiculously long as you go from one case to the next. It’s a worthy purchase because it’s something different from the norm. Not every game has to be straight up action. It’s gameplay innovation at it’s finest, in my opinion. Yeah, there’s no replay factor at all, but it’s still a fun and quirky game.

But yeah, you can say that Phoenix Wright isn’t a game series for everyone.

SSBM is a party game more than it is a fighter.

• The guy who designed Megaman (Inafune) is an arrogant fucknut who needs to be fired. He took away the re-dubs of the games in our MMX collection (even though they were DONE) and said, about the one save file in Dead Rising, that “people should just get over it.” Yet another company I will buy the rights to if I ever get enough money.

• Ditto re: Square’s Nomura and other game devs (not necessarily Japanese) who put their own egos ahead of everything else. This includes but is not limited to Sonic Team and the “new” Blizzard.

• Megaman 7 is the best in the series.

• Even though the “Megaman threatens to kill Wily” bit isn’t even in the Japanese version of Rockman 7, it is FUCKING CANON. I don’t care how many Megaman mooks or games you own: if you say otherwise, you’re wrong.

• Roll should’ve been able to quadruple jump. Also, her Roll Buster should hit 5 times and negate beams. And her d+HK should cover the entire screen. Oh, and she should have flight mode. And take damage like Sentinel. Insert additional ridiculous buff here.

• Dan sucking is getting old. He can be made better and still be a cocky fucker. :tup:

• Street Fighter 4? Darkstalkers 4? Street Fighter Alpha 4? (holy shit Capcom doesn’t like 4) Fuck 'em all. Pocket Fighter 2 FTW.

• Luigi shouldn’t be a coward. For fuck’s suck, he was an active participant (as in he fought Bowser alongside Mario) in like every Mario game pre-Mario 64. Fuck Luigi’s Mansion and Mario and Luigi for making him a coward.

• Similarly, he should’ve been in Mario RPG.

• Adding Luigi with different traits to the remakes of SMW and SMB3 on GBA was a GREAT move. Fuck the “Mario-only” purists. And those Luigi traits should be in the VC Wii versions too.

• They should merge the Mario-verse and WarioWare-verse. WarioWare characters are seriously 100,000,000 times cooler than Mushroom Kingdom regulars.

• Sonic Shuffle’s card system was awesome. Too bad the rest of the game is shit.

• Someone needs to make a sandbox Ultimate Spider-Man style game… starring Knuckles and the Chaotix. :bgrin:

• SaGa Frontier was a great game that needed a true sequel. All-magic Blue (incl. Mystic), Morphed Assellus, and Red are some of the most broken game characters ever.

• Laharl is awesome. Who else can still majorly damage a character despite said character having a 700 level advantage?

• Disgaea 2 had the potential to have the best story out of all of the La Pucelle/Disgaea “tactics” games. Potential. It turned to shit.

• The above-mentioned tactics games all suck. I just watched my brother play them for the story. FFT rules them all.

• Ramza and Agrias should’ve been a couple.

Oh, and Ramza should have gotten with Ovelia, IMO. And she KNEW it in the end, she was all “Damn that Ramza was awesome…why did I ever care about this tool Delita?” Of course, Alma would snipe anyone who did go near “big brother” (for reasons I’ll leave to you to figure out)…
