I played it. Like 10 years ago. I never finished it, but I think I got pretty far, which must have meant that it was a fun game.

I always thought Marvel Super heroes vs. Street fighter was an amazing game. It is over shadowed by xmen vs. sf all the time. I never really understood why? Is it because it does not have magnus?
unreal 2004 is the next level.
Took my statement the wrong way. I’m saying that in a situation where I could play either Big Brain or Gears, I would play Big Brain. I’m not necessarily comparing the two from a technical standpoint, I’m just making a statement of which game is more fun. Also taking a stab at Gears of War, which was a stupid game. Third Person Shooters are no fun. Especially blocky slow moving ones with crappy controls. “Over the top graphics” don’t mean shit to me if your engine sucks.
Can anybody explain to me why it made sense in FF8 for Squall to suddenly fall head-over-heels for Rinoa? I’m playing the game and Squall’s his usual apathetic self, then 5 minutes of story passes and then he gets all freaked out about her.
I don’t think there was any real reason to like Link in LTTP either. I didn’t really like Link in any of the Zelda games, but that didn’t stop me from liking the games themselves.
I don’t know, I considered the dungeon design of Majora’s Mask to be a bit more complex than the Ocarina of Time dungeons. Especially the “upside down” dungeon (which got me really confused when I first played it, although that was a very long time ago). The Water Dungeon in Ocarina of Time was fairly complex though.
I remember when I considered the LTTP dungeons complex but after replaying the game again (many years later), I was kind of disappointed. I beat it in about 10 hours.
I think it has alot to do with His alter ego falling in love with Julia or whatever her name is. Kinda like some sort of mental link connecting both characters together. Plus, Rinoa has a dog for a limit break… that’s gotta count for something… right?
I agree, it’s fun and has a great roster. Seriously people ride Magneto’s jock so hard, it’s not even funny.
-Shin Megami Tensei is the best RPG series, EVER.
-And I agree with whoever said that FF8 is the best in the series.
-Devil May Cry>Ninja Gaiden>God of War.
-Seaman was one of the best…ummm…games? Thing? Whatever, it was great!
-I thought Ehrgeiz was okay.
-Trap Gunner was one of the best Playstation games EVER. Played VS with my friends for a long time when it came out.
-Phantom Dust was the real deal. Probably the best Xbox Game I’ve ever played.
-Wild Arms stopped being good after WA2, which was my favorite from all of them.
-Silent Hill>>>>>Resident Evil. In every way but the combat.
-Duke Nukem 3D is still one of the best FPS of all time.
-Here’s one people are sure to love: Front Misson>Final Fantasy Tactics(I know, FM is not a SRPG, but they are both turn based strategy games from SE).
-I feel gay for saying this, but Bust A Groove was an awesome game. Bust A Groove 2 however, sucked. A LOT.
-The first Soul Caliber is the best in the series.
-I like KOFMI2.
-Fear Effect needs a new game. Seriously, they were freaking awesome.
Cause it slipped my mind before…
Capcom put out the best action games of the last generation, (DMC, RE4, Viewtiful Joe and everything Clover).
Konami’s International Superstar Soccer series (don’t know what is call now) was the BEST simulation sport games of the PS1/N64 generation, although really until the 2K series this isn’t saying much.
Ogre Battle/Tactic Ogre > Final Fantasy Tactics (Runs away)
I haven’t played Shin Megami Tensei but I heard it was just riddled with random encounters every few steps, and that the storyline is pretty weak, gameplay is not that innovative and is quite repetitive…but the idea behind the games seem nice.
Too bad those games are out of print and I don’t have access to Ebay buying to get them myself.
Edit: I liked Ogre Battle 64 a lot. Need to play Tactics Ogre (PSX version).
Ogre Battle is completely different than those 2.
I disagree with all the comments you’ve heard then, except for maybe the random encounters. They do happen VERY often but I don’t mind since I loved fighting anyways. And the new Devil Summoner kicks serious ass.
Because of the game system, the encounters aren’t really much of a problem. You generally use the encounters to recruit monsters and get items, so you generally end up hunting a lot anyway. If you don’t feel like fighting, you can just ask the monsters to leave or just punk them for money and/or items. The encounter rate is a little higher than most games, but (as Septimus mentioned) battle systems make or break a game, and it’s definitely more fun than most games as well.

Of course, Atlus breaks the game, so don’t bother.
So anyone love Xenosaga? I loved the first one…story was pretty nuts, and the gameplay wasn’t too bad. However, I think the second one failed. The storyline was somewhat weaker, with the characters not being developed much. In addition, worse voice acting and the ability system didn’t really do a good job of making everyone unique.
I didn’t play much of xenosaga 3 but from what I played of it, the depth of the game is pretty low. Only thing that seems to have improved are the mecha battles.
-So much love for Lost Planet…I for one never got into the game. Can anyone tell me what’s so good about it? I can’t help but feel like I’m just not doing something right, since I end up with very few kills and deaths, and mostly run around, lost. Also, what’s the best Default weapon? Whatever, any info for me to enjoy the MP more would be great, and I agree on one thing though:
Lost Planet Single Player>Gears of War Single player.
Someone give this man a dollar.
And hands down, the best OG Gameboy game was a game probably no one here has played (and the ONLY good Transformers game)
Beast Wars Neo by Takara
INSANELY Good.
Hidden characters, more hidden characters, and everyone has CRAZY “hidden” super moves
As good as Terry Bogard’s 15 hit power geyser in KOF’96 for Gameboy
