Unlearning the game, losing against mega low players

I hope it says that I unliked that because it’s pretty fucking dumb. You’re a scrub because you choose to play the game how it was meant to be played?

lolwhat?

Personally with the online vs offline issue… I’d say it’s a matter of who u are playing with online. If it’s random dudes you are quick matching… You probably wont lose… …but even a win feels like a loss if all u had to do was bait mashed special moves and then punish with some easy combo.

I run into the trap where I’ll play 12 random dudes in a row who are all ass… and then I play like shit as soon as my opp knows what he is doing b/c of the contrast. Maybe that’s just me… but playing online makes me worse… unless I’m playing with a buddy. I’ve run into a few ok people playing online randoms… but usually just mashers whom defeating is neither fun nor educational.

As far as the poster goes… you are doing exactly what 97% of new school fg players seems to do… base your view of your own skill level based on your online points or performance vs online randoms. This is fallacy. Most of these people AREN"T EVEN PLAYING STREET FIGHTER. They are playing some game where the goal is to do specials as fast as possible until one side randomly loses. So ya… if u are trying to play street fighter with these people… expect it to go badly.

In all honesty… if I had to draw a parallel between points online vs player skill level… I’d say in most cases (and this might sound off) the more points someone has the more ass they are. A.k.a blanka might get a fuck ton of points spamming blanka ball on randoms all day… but he is actually WORSE BY FAR than the blanka with way less points who is trying to play the game right. Not saying it has to be that way… just that it is most of the time.

So I guess the top players that place well in pretty much every major have scrub mentalities. Good shit. And shout outs to online warriors getting outwittted not only on xbox live but on srk aswell.

It’s not exactly a secret that playing offline is better than online.
