In any event more often then not intellectually challenging cinema is often misunderstood and dismissed initially, it’s only years later usually a decade or two they are given due recognition. EWS in particular is the undisputed over achievement in Kubrick’s resume, at least as far as detail and nuance goes you can fit the subtext of all his other work into just half of EWS lol. Too bad the anti monitor AKA Libby and everyone else in the movie thread hate it =/. Rob Ager got permission to access Kubrick’s own notes which shed some light on some things but after all is said and done Harford only has Zeigler’s word to either trust as or not.
