Also I know you can do forward hop into ultra. But is there a way to do cross up hop into ultra? Again, that would be very sick.
Look at what you typed again.
aww gawd, i read ‘overhead headbutt’ and just repeated the wrong bit, i was talking about the headbutt. He’s never had an overhead was my point lol.
i’m sure crossup hop into ultra is possible too but blocking after the ultra animation would be pretty easy.
I did this before, it’s straightforward. Holding forward and KKK, after two hops you have charge on the other side as long as you keep holding the same direction.
Found a couple good setups for the ultra.
Jump forward, Standing Jab, Option Grab or Ultra.
If they block high, ultra. If they block low, grab.
Also Crossup Forwards, low short x 2, cross up hop, ultra – with all those crossups you might catch your opponent off guard
ski… seriously… ask james what he did to me damn near all day saturday wit that damn blanka. he hits low then high then low… yes we played damn near all day saturday wit eric v. i couldnt believe what the hell was goin on nor could they cause they thought i wasnt blockin right. im like wait… an showed them when he would activate over top of me after a knockdown. hatin blanka right now.
Did you guys see the crazy TRF vids from the other day with sick ultra/super setups? So this Blanka player gets a focus with the opponent cornered, and after focus all he does is throw, which was confusing at first. But then right after that, he does jab ball to cross the opponent up (and corner himself) and then start ultra/super such that the Blanka is at his max height or spinning when the opponent gets up. Because you can control how far the initial hop into spin goes, this makes for a super ambiguous and hard to block crossup/noncrossup game, and the dude’s opponent got hit by it every time.
You can controll the initial hop? I dont think you can. I thought it was more of a timing thing. I was using this tactic when I found out you could hop ultra, just get a throw then hop ultra for wierd cross up games. what is cool if you get the cross up is that they have to block the other way and you ball can escape safely if it is in fact blocked, or you can get the max hits…on hit…lol
link the vids please!!! please!!!
the super crossup does some weird shit x.x
^ Yeah, there ya go.
I haven’t personally steered the ultra or super or anything, I was just told by my friend who plays Blanka that you can do it.
am i suppose to click on something?
put the url of that vud into here: http://www.mmcafe.com/nico.html
It will take you directly to video with out registering.
Ha, that’s kind of funny… not trying to big myself up or anything but that’s the exact tactic I as rinisng when I first played the game, I even posted about it in NeoEmpire’s forums… after any knock down do the KKK dash to cross up and go straight into Ultra while your as close to (ideally overlapping) the opponents hit box. Works a charm.
What, in clear english and as much detail as possible, is the command for command hop into ultra and command hop crossup into ultra?
I tried it a bunch of times and nothing came out. Does the stick need to go to neutral for the hop or something wierd? Is the timing of the forward back forward equal or is there a larger gap inbetween one of the inputs etc? I’ve read Teo’s description of the command for crossup ultra but it confused me
OK, this is how I do it. Knock the opponent down (not essential, but probably the best set up).
Then hold the joystick in down+forward, and press KKK. Keep the joystick held in the same position as this will be your charge. The KKK dash forward will cross your opponent up, meaning that the down+forward you are holding is now down+back.
Wait a split second for your charge to complete, then go froward, back, forward, 3p. I had been doing forward+KKK for the dash, but if you have a charge ready this becomes EX rainbow roll.
I will give it a try but i couldn’t even get vanilla hop ultra to work let alone crossup. Wouldn’t your charge only begin once your sprite cross up the opponent, im’ looking for hop crossup into immediate ultra, no waiting to complete charge.
B+F kkk is hop, its only ex rainbow with KK i think. maybe someone else can confirm.
You might find it easier to start with b,f f, b, f PPP for dash into ultra rather than KKK dash.
and no, your charge begins as soon as you hold a direction. That’s how you can do cross up jump into attacks xx ball.
I did dash super once, but i couldn’t do it again, i need some time in training mode. Is it the same as in cvs2?
About charge beginning before you cross up, that’s news to me. If it’s true then great, but it makes no sense how it would register your charge before you crossup. After a crossup i haven’t ever done cr.mk X ball. I always go for upball instead or cr.mk > st.lp x ball since i need more time to charge.
Training mode, required
Man, I fucked around with the throw into ultra/super mixup after dash and it’s nasty! The corner ball crossup into super makes them have to block in two directions…lol. Midscreen I think the super doesnt crossup after throw and the ultra does. I found out that if you take a step and a half back then dash ultra, it becomes ambigious, 2 steps and no crossup, one step or none gives the crossup. The super is where the slutty stuff happens.
