Nah, if it was bodied, I would’ve used a more descriptive metaphor.
I have to remember what I do again. I don’t play too often to remember.
Instead of doing j.M> divekick>s.H>S, I do:
S>j.H>Divekick>S
I think you can get about 3 reps before just going back up and doing j.M>j.H>S> air max voltage.
I was wondering is this a good use of meter? http://shoryuken.com/forum/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/moves/m.pnghttp://shoryuken.com/forum/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/moves/down.pnghttp://shoryuken.com/forum/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/moves/qcb.pnghttp://shoryuken.com/forum/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/moves/s.pnghttp://shoryuken.com/forum/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/moves/qcf.pnghttp://shoryuken.com/forum/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/moves/l.png

Atk+Atk.
The Combo builds less than one meter, but it’s damage is 815 k.
IIRC Trish does about 800 with just her basic BnB in the corner with an assist and air max voltage. Even more if you have either an otg assist.
with something like that, you probably could get the same amount of damage using Chris’s assist with air max voltage as the combo ender. Round harvest scales your damage so you’d be wasting an extra meter for damage you probably can get with just 1 assist and 1 meter.
hmm alrighty time to hit the lab and see what i can come up with. Thank you for the info
Feel like I’ve looked everywhere for Tish’s BNBs and can’t find them. Didn’t play Vanilla and I’m just picking up Trish as of a day ago. Not very many people play her apparently = O She seems pretty solid. Can someone point me in the right direction as far as:
Midscreen BNB?
Corner BNB?
Ty trish boards
LMHS, j.L, j.2H xx Hopscotch, ADF j.L, j.H, s.H, s.S, j.MM, DJ, j.MH2H xx QCF+L xx QCF+2A.
Mess with it at your leisure.
^That’s the main one. In the corner I do this:
LMHS, j.M, j.2H xx Hopscotch, j.M, j.H, s.H, c.H, s.S, j.MM, DJ, j.MHS, land, tk air Hopscotch xx air High Voltage.

LMHS, j.L, j.2H xx Hopscotch, ADF j.L, right here j.H whiffs because of too much hitstun. What am i doing wrong?
In the first LMHS, the H has to be Standing. No exceptions. Other than that, combo’s pretty lenient.
For those of you who don’t run an otg assist how do you deal with not having one? I want to drop wesker from my team but I just can’t. I know many other assists can extend her combos but an otg works from nearly any conversion. Some other assists that I tried don’t even build her a bar in a combo. Maybe I just didn’t experiment enough with other assists. I really feel like wesker/any good otg assist is mandatory for me.
for Max damage/potential Trish, she needs the otg. Otherwise you’ll be doing creative additions to her basic BnB (like vergil rapid slash assist to get out round trip during the combo). I’ve tried Trish with OTGs and I’m not a big fan of anyone with the decent OTGs (except maybe doom.) but I shouldn’t have to be forced to play the better OTGs assist. Trish as a character needs it to be at her best damagewise, but it’s not a “must have”.
I’ve been running non OTG Trish since vanilla. You pretty much annoy the opponent with dive kicks, flight cancels, traps, and being lame. You CAN go in if you have the assist to back you up for the box/tri dash mixup but just realize your damage is just going to be medicore unless you have something with your team to extend it or maximize every bit of meter. Frank, ammy, sent, akuma, and Dante are just a few examples that help Trish out when it comes to left right up down mixups. Most of the time, non OTG assist Trish teams will be going all in to get the bar needed to DHC at least once, or play lame enough that they’ll get a good amount so that the combo ends with 2 bars for the DHC.
I might experiment with non otg teams. I should be used to characters that don’t kill since every character I play can’t push out TODs easily except Vergil.
I’ll admit, playing Non-OTG teams with Trish is…a test in patience, but she does not synergize well with ANY of the OTG assist givers. And it’s only a difference of 30K.
Non-OTG extenders tend to up Trish’s Damage by 20K. OTG extenders do it by 50K. Obviously it varies, but those seem to be the average numbers. The best thing you could do for Trish is putting someone behind her that WILL MAKE IT HURT once she DHC’s into them. Vergil would be perfect for her if their DHC’s weren’t terrible midscreen. In the corner though, good fucking night.
The damage difference is not really my concern. I like converting off of air throws, more corner carry, and the extra meter. Like I said, I didn’t experiment a lot with other assists but I think the non otg extensions I used did not build a bar. I need to be able to build a bar in a combo because the teams I play against often don’t allow me to sit back and annoy them(dante/vergil/strider). I might be putting too much stock into a few match-ups though.
It’s up to you. If you think those pluses are that important to your gameplay, then keep rocking the OTG assists.
You could try having someone else on point and let them benefit from Trish peekaboo/low voltage assist. Peekaboo assist saves lives, makes people respect it to some extent when it’s in play, eats up a lot of the casts normals/projectiles/durability, and just an all out good assist. It also allows for resets for those characters who benefit from it the most. (Frank/Spider-man/She-Hulk/spencer/hulk/etc.) Just an idea. Low voltage is nice to either make things safe or just to have some type of frontal projectile. It’s not the best but it does help. She also has the TAC infinite and a few pretty damn good TAC combos in her arsenal to benefit the 2nd slot over the first.
If not she’s still good on point. Just have to make sure the 2nd slot and anchor do their parts in either assisting her with however you want to play her and then being able to clean up after she’s done most of the work. This also helps characters like Doom who benefit from TAC. Trish’s corner carry is great and allows for the easy doom combo that will either kill or at least put a hurting on higher health characters. Plus you’ll build enough meter to do doom’s sphere super > Round Harvest. IMO Trish/Doom are just about as good together as Trish/Ammy or Trish/Frank.
Trish anchor is a hit/miss depending on how you want to use her and who’s she’s fighting. She’s great in running time out/laming people out as long as they can’t touch her. Otherwise it’s a huge struggle for her to make a comeback because she can’t open anyone up on her own too well. She has a decent lvl 3 xfactor loop and has the hopscotch infinite but again, need to open someone up and it’s very easy to run from Trish just as it is for her to lame out most of the cast.
she plays any spot well. It really just comes down to who she’s fighting and how well either of you guys playing know how the match goes.
Explain to me how Trish does not synergize well with Wesker.
Also, two of the other OTG assists hit low, so that in theory is a perfect match for Trish.
DHC/THC Synergy is mediocre at best. And their assists aren’t THAT helpful to each other. Peekaboo is Peekaboo and Low Voltage isn’t that great, and while an OTG assist is helpful to Trish as we know, in the neutral it’s extremely meh. The DHC synergy can be fixed by putting someone else in the middle, but Wesker anchor is not as good as people think or thought, and Trish anchor would defeat the purpose of this discussion in the first place. They can get the job done if need be, but their synergy without taking their assists into account just isn’t that great.
