It’s not being run by the same people anymore. Also Big 2 is a game they play so I dunno.

Socal as a whole is more stacked than Nor Cal when it comes to Marvel. That’s always been the case. Also, I think Norcal players are underexposed compared to So cal simply because So cal gatherings have been more cohesive and consistent outside of the San Diego to LA division. For the most part, every time there’s a gathering, the who’s who of top players are all there.

Why doesn’t ChrisG do sessions? How in the hell did he get so good without them?

Mikes team is actually pretty good, it just can’t deal with Wesker. Storm is his best chance against Wesker. If Storm dies the match is already lost. Also Peekaboo made Jago super safe. Mike had no answer for Wesker or Peekaboo. I do think he should look into a new team too, but he is good with his current team also. He needs a secondary team to deal with Weskers and keep away teams.

How can you complain about NorCal getting no attention when no one even knows about the Midwest or Southeast. facepalm

Norcal always gets no attention. The majority of the 09er generation didn’t know who Ricky Ortiz was until Evo 2010.

That team is actually pretty terrible.

Mike needs to put Hulk first, Storm second, Sent third. That way Storm is guaranteed to come in with meters like she wants whether Hulk stays alive or dies due to his big health threshold any way. You want somebody like Hulk stacked with assists up front so he can get in and kill people off and build meters fast for Storm and Sent.

In Vanilla I believe he beat Detrimantix with it, and In ultimate he beat Marn and Floe with it. That counts for something.

Since we’re on the subject, I never understood why teamspooky gets so very much more love than IPW.

The level of hype seems much better to me. I respect and love both though.

more personalities on the mic is a big thing. chris hu, yipes, etc.

so maybe the problem is me then. The way that spooky can’t figure out NOT ARGUING WITH STREAM MONSTERS ON THE MIC just makes me crazy.

I watched Starbase Ranbats every week (well, on Thursday morning since it runs too late Wednesday for someone EST to catch it live) and loved watching the play/commentary/talk. That and Dromstruction really brought NorCal’s scene to the forefront in my mind. Sucks that the numbers aren’t as high yet, but the stuff NorCal puts out isn’t unappreciated.

Dont get me wrong he’s ridiculous. He used to be godlike at every game at cf and i think hes just overall great at fighting games. Which is really crazy how he can play a game like mvc3 without doing anything spectacular. If you pay attention to his matches he litterally does almost nothing but whiff punish and choose the right time to attack. Most of new york used to think he didn’t want to get “figured” out but that wasn’t the case. He’s actually just overall out playing people. still its a mystery how he stays good with his main team since he never picks it in casuals

That’s retarded! Just goes to prove though that footsie skills mean a lot more in this game, even though you spend 40% of the time in a combo or being combo’d those footsie’s get you there.

Mike’s team would be pretty good if he was actually decent with any of the characters besides Storm.

Gamma Crush DHC to Ice Storm would be pretty nasty too, for punishment and for combos.

Yea dude was dropping sentinal and hulk combos, if he went to training mode for 10 mins he wouldn’t ever drop those yet he’s doing storms jump combos = mindblown.

He’s as good with hulk as you can be.
