How did that free tourney go?how did
Who went to the tournament? If you did, let me know, I want to know what’s the deal with this whole thing.
The tournament was held at a cafe. 6 setups with PS3s and Evo monitors. 13 people entered. I think there was about 5-7 people from the group that ran the tournament. The venue’s internet sucked. Challonge was used but since the internet sucked, they had to rewrite the bracket using paper (which is fine). Tournament started around 3pm. During winner’s semis, they matched me up against someone from losers bracket which they eventually sorted out. The tournament itself ran smoothly. Cash was awarded to the Top 3.
The organizers seemed friendly and explained to the players that they will have an another tournament soon (next month?) at the Emeryville Marketplace for AE2012. They are also planning to run another tournament with the $1000 prize after the AE tournament but the venue and game will be announced later. They had future goals in mind and seemed pretty confident to make these goals come true. Overall, I had a positive experience and would not mind entering another tournament ran by these guys again.

Never felt they where trying to advantage. Actually they offered me a full refund. I went to the FREE tourney it was exactly like they described in there thread. Translation: professional, receptive, open, welcoming, and last but not least they paid the cash as described ; no fraud for them. I ?guess? its good to listen to what other people have to say, but always check for yourself. Oh yeah they accommodated the refund for $$ and took care of next month tourney venue fee August. Great event keep it up. Hagure: “A quick tongue will make a fool of you soon enough”
PS: I will skip your tourney and go to there’s.
I’m honestly glad everything worked out. I gave em the benefit of doubt in the beginning, but things got a little weird as time went on, and then all communication stopped, which is always a warning sign. I really WAS planning to head to the free tourney, but some family stuff came up that weekend so I cancelled my Bay trip. Ah well, next time.
