I donāt see how it would be hard to ban infinites. As far as I know, all of them are based on rejumping. Just ban people from doing that. Have Marvel 3 be played like it was pre infinites. Itās only been discovered for 2 days. Thereās no way people would use them by accident in a match.
Magneto in second. Heās attempting the double TAC with Morrigan to get him in, but drops it most of the time (itās annoying to combo into imo)
No way a judge can be in every match and call it.

I understand this may be an issue with a lot of entrants in a tournament; however I feel that just placing the ban may make people give up learning them. Maybe I give the community too much credit, but I feel like people would abide to the rules.
The marvel community is insane. the game could physically shock you if a character did a certain move and people would say āLet it rock!ā

This game went from finally having the metagame evolve at ECT and CEO and having a bright future everyone was excited about, the revival of big money matches, coast rivalries and even international competition to potentially dying as a competitive game because of all these infinites.
God damn.
Infinites wonāt ākillā anything but a lot of people are deflated outside of a couple mvc2 heads that donāt even play or even remember mvc2 didnāt have infinites.
Potentially dying?
Either A: They get patched, B: They get banned after Curleh Mustache after being proven a problem or C: Theyāre not as big a problem as we fear.
No matter what the above is (right now, I think B is the most likely if people can get shit down in time), the game will live on.
Yeah, this is an interesting development to say the least. ECT4 was the one of the best tournaments for the game.

But seriously this game was looking so good the last few tournaments with clean play from top players, established team shells being popular, less derp dark anchor comebacks. Now everything is going to change.
How the fuck is the game going to die? Like really how is it going to die? People will still play this game with or with out infiniteās, and top players are still going to develop a superior neutral game with our with out infiniteās. If anything all this is going to do is stagnate low to intermediate play because why bother with a neutral game or any other understanding of the game if I can land a hit and go
