Most of the top and high/mid tiers already TOD any way so there’s not really much reason to switch any way since the characters you’re already using will most likely be able to set this up. The few ones that can’t will still have natural TOD’s or generally very high damage combos any way that will kill most of the lower health top tiers.
Well everyone has different standards of execution. I would just try it and judge for yourself.
Yeah I guess, I will definitely give it a shot once i get some extra time.
This for emphasis. If its not top tier killing you with loops, its gonna be non top tier characters killing you with near infinite loops.
Iron Man had a 300% in MvC2. it was literaly fly, walk, bait, call assist, repeat until you got the hit. was he a god or ground breaking? What many of you also seem to forget is practicality vs flash. Not everybody is Marlin or MvC2 Yipes.
The things I like a bunch about firebrand are how they translated him over from the game gargoyles quest.
In his neutral game things like using fireballs and wall cling are important to maximizing his potential. In a way they are just as important in marvel as they were in Gargoyle’s quest. Most firebrand players that I have seen(besides Zak Bennet) don’t really seem to understand how useful the wall cling is.
The fireballs you throw from it can be used for full screen hit confirms and covering yourself like an assist. Who does that sound like? Sounds similar to Zero to me.
I also like that flight mode resets the number of air actions you can perform.

I haven’t forgotten that. Yet again, because apparently I have to reiterate this every two freaking seconds, this should not be ANY team’s main strategy, short of a Phoenix team.
It should be, play like normal, if you want more meter, you go for the infinite. If not, or you already have enough, which will be the case at least 70% of the time, you do your normal shit, that’s it.
What this does, is it turns those dead times where you’re burned out of meter (for example, after your Vergil just finished someone off with sword loops) and still makes you a viable threat to kill without burning X-Factor, or if nothing else, gives you a nice expense of meter to do most of your crap anyway.
That’s because Magneto could do the same thing and was a better character…
End game MvC2 was retarded. This games been out for like a year and we’re already seeing end game shit before the tiers even get fully established.
Vergil/Magneto/X-23 then. Choose whoever you want for the first two. The point is, X-23’s neutral game is irrelevant.
Vanilla Phoenix was better than this game. Seriously. It’s not just because of the infinite either. It’s just all this stuff coming together.
It’s the same shit. Everything stupid now probably was in Vanilla but worst.
Do any of you guys think that Phoenix has a TAC infinite?
Every end game has been pretty retarded if you look at it objectively. Boxer is stupid. Eddie is stupid. Yun is stupid. ETC. How stupid you like it is all up to you.
Too bad this tac shit didn’t get discovered in vanilla. Woulda loved to see marlin’s magneto dhc glitch into infinite combos.
Phoenix certainly seems to have the toolset required to do the infinite, but who knows. Wouldn’t be surprised if she did. ( I haven’t really seen any general consensus on what the requirements are. I’ve read and heard like 7 different explanations and they all make sense ).
Probably. Would make her more viable for a 2nd spot. Anybody with flight and/or air dash is up for this shit really.
Don’t Space Animals still embarrass most of the cast? Unless something changed when I stopped caring.
Meh. It’s the fact that the problem lies in the mechanics and not the gameplay. The game is poorly made. I am 100% okay with broken shit. I am 100% not okay with horrible mechanics.
EDIT: And sure broken stuff arises from glitches or oversight, but it doesn’t have to arise from shitty mechanics and decisions.
