Vergil got ouroboros for 1 bar and it’s a-ok. Virgin/Zero whiffing around J.H in the air to build meter…dear lord
I’d rather see the metagame be advanced then save tech unless it’s just gimmicks
Same here, I’m up to 6, I’ll have infinites for several of my characters within a few hours.
This is fucking dumb.
Okay I’ll say it. IT"S MAHVEL BABY!!
I remember when TAC shit made MODOK special…
That’s just stupid as hell to me personally, if I find this shit, hell if I was to be the one guy to find alot of stuff, I’d never reveal till a big major or EVO. Fuck I wouldn’t even hint towards it, just save that shit till Nationals. Comes off as weak to me to send out to everyone.
If you’re playing the game competitively you’re basically saying this so I don’t see what the big deal is. All what I’m saying means is that in the old days shit got discovered and it was pretty much finding other powerful stuff to deal with powerful stuff. It’s one of the few fighters as of recent where it’s pretty much up on the player to learn to get around the game’s options and the amount of options you can create. I feel the sandbox that comes out of this game is really interesting and more important than whatever issues it causes when you get hit.
Everyone that’s complaining is just complaining about what happens after you get hit. Which you can’t have been playing this game since Vanilla if you’re complaining about how the game works after your character gets hit because that’s pretty much what Vanilla was all about except you had invincible assists that came out even if you got hit and went into death combos also.
Now that everyone likes Doom you can always build a more defensive team around hidden missiles so the chances of you having to deal with shit after you get hit is mitigated any ways. Except there’s more ways to blow up hidden missiles than there were to blow up bad Tron/Haggar calls in Vanilla.
This is 2012 so Niitsuma is supposed to come in and give people what they want at some point. Which is always just a change so that people will find other powerful stuff any way. No matter what changes you’ll always feel the same about the game because it’s just designed the way it is. I see the interesting things you can do in the neutral and team creation as what really makes the game fun despite what happens when you get hit.

Would like to exchange ideas, IM is perfect for this, right now I’m airdashing down forward, fly, mh l smart bomb, mh unfly h rejumping and just improving fly and smart bomb making sure to unfly h as low as possible.
i really can’t see Marvel 3’s endgame revolving around TAC, the toppest tier already build way more than enough meter while doing legit ToD as it is
than again, TAC into Fireband (i assume he’ll be able to use this), build 5 bars, than unblockable -> death loop without having to waste a character slot with a meter build assist does sound awfully endgame…
So… now your gonna tell me what games I do and don’t like?
Alright. What games do I and don;t I like. Since apparently you know better than me.
Ouch got the publisher of the snap loop offended by this madness.

Again, it’s one thing if it’s for EVO. But again, you’re assuming fucking everyone would do STSFN even when they’re never going to go to a tournament. You’re better off getting your tech advanced and upping your own play, then sitting on it and PRAYING no one discovers it in time for your major.
Plus with the internet, streaming, 3/5 sets and such, your new shit will not last all that long on surprise factor.
Also there is a difference in one character and several characters having infinite combos. It’s actually usually better balance for only 1 character to have one.
For the record, I still love this game. It just needs ***mechanic ***changes. The creativity, depth of the movesets, and everything else are amazing. Too bad things like TACS, XF, HSD, hard tag overheads, OS Heavy attacks, etc. etc. make things stupid.
Pretty much the same thing just using angeled H’s for positioning. It’s not easy.
I’m is good for this. But I imagine the characters with better scaling on Normals will be best. Less total reps required.

Because she is the second best at what she does.
I don’t have the money and time go to many majors I’d rather see counters develop to strategies and then learn to counter those and improve as a player. Keeping random things secret like my guard breaks and such is fine, but for tech that changes the game or improves characters I’d rather have it out there.
This is further what I was getting into. It’s only really the neutral stuff that makes the game still an issue. Hit boxes that are too large and OS’s that are a bit too powerful for their own good. These are the real issues as they set up you getting hit in the first place. No matter what they take away from the game it’s still going to be about who does that stuff the best and funny enough, it’s the higher tiers that do that stuff the best any way. Which is why I call bullshit on anyone who says “this guy can do cheap shit after he hits me”.
The cheapest shit is BEFORE you get hit. Not after. Which really isn’t much different from any of the older games. Characters with most oppressive neutral or footsies run the game. What happens after you get hit…is what happens in a game of 3 characters. Most of the relevant cast can kill you on a touch so it’s really more so about the spacial game at that point.
What’s going to win you Evo is how you space yourself…not so much what you do after you land a hit. That’s pretty much what Fanatiq is trying to teach us. Neutral is still most important no matter what you can do when you hit people. Until people realize that…Evo will still be won with the basics and not the “ultra cheap shit” that’s on these internet videos.
You’re missing the point man. It is the mechanic that’s busted. Also, get the fuck out of here with the “don’t get hit” attitude. I mean DUH. That applies to EVERY broken thing in any game ever. Old games wouldn’t even have a mechanic like TAC or XF, and if they did, competitive players wouldn’t have played them in the arcade IMO.

As for which games you do like, I truly don’t know since it changes on a whim.
But you’ve openly stated your dislike for Marvel multiple times. With the choices comment, I’m gonna assume you do have other games you like (Wild guess, and say KOF is on that list, since everyone can’t keep XIII out of their mouths half the time when they need to trash something else. And I’m a KOF player saying that). So why weren’t you playing that over Marvel.
And even if all of the above are just logical fallacies, I’m gonna let you in on something. It’s highly unlikely they’ll patch this. So why don’t you save yourself some heartache, and just play something else you’d like more? I’m not even saying it to be a dick, but it’s always something that confused the hell out of me. Why would people keep playing things they hate?
You think the neutral is a problem, but start of round and TAC clusterfucks are okay?
Whatever your smoking, can I buy some?
It’s really not the same with Firebrand and X-23. X-23 can do the shit whenever she feels like it. Firebrand has to constantly snapback which leave more room for errors/people figuring out your setup.
