X-23 was already nearly at that point in Vanilla with XF1 kill stuff. People have been theorizing for a long time that Firebrand can do this 300 percent shit so I guess it’s going to take a Japanese person to be like “hey guys YOU SHOULD DO 300 percents” cuz nobody in any other region of the world is doing them in tourneys yet.
This is just the start of the old school style 300 percent set ups. It’ll just force people to learn to dissect people’s teams more carefully.
I only see it as them forcing us to be more creative and apply new techs.

Plus as long as the TAC 300 percent involves a character that’s questionable in the neutral for a lot of people like X-23…no one is really going to care. People only care when it’s Magneto or Vergil get stuff like that. When mid tiers get this stuff it’s just “oh ok oh well” then wait for Mags to get some new cheap stuff.

Vanilla was more broke than this game because the neutral in Vanilla was more broken. Let alone the stuff you could do with XF1 was also more broken. Like Clockwork said…no matter how cheap anything gets with a specific character they’re still only one character. The game has been about not getting hit since Vanilla except now there’s more options to at least escape or have it be possible that the opponent may drop what they’re trying to kill you with.
Still don’t get the issue because if there’s no way you could have been playing this game since Vanilla with that type of mentality.

You can play this if you want. But the game, at least at a competetive level, has pretty much lost most of its credibility, now that it has effectively been reduced to a quicktime event. This basically means there is no more neutral, not footsies. Just opening round clusterfuck into welcome setup, into unescapable meter dump. Rinse and repeat. So unless someone finds a way to avoid the opening round clusterfuck then this game is really just a dice roll at this point.
And it’s not like there aren’t other games out there. Even the top players are disgusted by this. Just because 10 years ago you had to put of with shit doesn’t mean that you have to now.
