Apparently there will soon be a PS3 in my house, because people need some way to watch 3D blu ray on the 65" Panasonic that I got priced matched down to 2714 at Best Buy (from like 3300 on sale and like 3600 retail, go me). I would default to getting PSAS, but are there any other recommendations?

Psh, I beat Catacombs at SL1, I can do this!
I should be soul level 10 though, maybe 14. I need to go pick up the Black Bow of Pharis and upgrade it as high as possible before I proceed.
Same with the rest of my armor since I can get stuff to +10 if needed.
I can also go to New Londo and get the ember for +15 stuff but screw that place, I will do it after the lord vessel.
Pikachu and Snorlax might prove to be a real pain in the ass though if I get touched even once since I have base vit and endurance.
