Peach is a horrible influence on children.
Ah. Unfortunately, those points are very real, yes. I can empathize with the tons of college graduates saddled with debt, looking to apply their degree for some cash, only to find a few highly-contested occupations or no opportunities at all. I can see where the first point is coming from too, though college seems to offer opportunities to turn avocation into vocation (developing a passing interest in chemistry, for example, into a career path). Which is what I think is the strength of these colleges: they help you discover yourself and your interests and help form a starting point. I just think it’s a mistake expecting to exit college and have a job plop into your lap, because it’s probably not going to happen, sadly enough. Maybe the problem here is that you have too many students going for a “fad” career, and it becomes impacted. Meanwhile, the oddball/unpopular majors that can still be applied in some way manage to eek out a living because they aren’t threatened so much by competition.
American college system is far from perfect, though. When it really comes to starting a career, I think countries like Germany have it down better. If you want to learn a technical skill that will get you a job, you can go to a trade school and start an apprenticeship. If you’re interested in a liberal arts education (which might not get you a job, but it’ll probably more be for the self-development experience), then you can go to a university.
Is this better than discussing Marvel 3?
I’m disappointed that no one in the community has a 3s board and the technology to compare speed between the two.
I have no idea. I think someone started up a download.
