There are some fairly apparent flaws in the dogma but it has good intentions. I don’t believe in anything metaphysical, so you’d call me an atheist, but I’m fine with spirituality, I find it can be therapeutic. In saying that, I feel most religions, as an organisation are inherently corrupt by their very being as a source of power, and how they use that to manipulate their followers. So in a sense, I hate religion, but not the belief systems behind them, just the institution.
Before this tumbles into the religious debate i have to chime in that sometimes I feel like that people forget that there’s people who have a religion yet are not inherently insane. Like the truckload of memes making fun of religious people, I mean yeah those fanatics and hardcore religious people are pretty darn strict but it ends up cascading into a stereotypical general view of people who have religion for w.e reason. Believe what you want to believe, freedom, liberty and choice i’m all for it you don’t have to live your life by the bible.
But it makes me kind of mad when people go “lol people with religion what a bunch of scrubs” You know thats just as bad as religious people condemning gays or athiests. I’ve come into hypocritical cases where some Athiests i’ve met hate religion because they want everyone to join their religion and everything else wrong but at the same time those kind of people call everyone who has a religion is just stupid for having one (not saying all, but i’ve met some) or getting on a high horse, instantly believing themselves “better” than people with religion.
