I’m currently training up Spencer/Doom/Ammy and Dorm/Doom/Ammy. Side team is Nova/Frank/Ammy. The team always has to include Ammy unless I’m in a keepaway mood.
It used to be Random/Doom/Ammy when I didn’t care. Almost every non-8 way dash character or flight character (excluding Nova and Dormammu because they’re easy at a basic level) was on point at some time or another.
And of course there are good Ammy point teams. You would treat her like a RTSD character at that point and any beam/lockdown assist would help greatly. Her fast normals and incredible option-selects make her a decent start of the round character. Her decent match-ups across the board only get better with assists and it’s not a bad idea to hold :a2: at the VS screen to bring her in as a counter-pick for certain characters (like… Morrigan? Projectile counter until she comes within mid-screen and force her to fight under your own terms. Too bad no one has tried).
Her low damage can be mitigated with assists (such as the combo that Kef posted with Ammy/Zero/Dante that built ~2 bars for a lv. 3). Wall-bounce assists are especially helpful for this. She can kill 1 mil point characters with XF1 solo if she must ala Chris G’s point Ammy team back in Vanilla.
However, there’s almost no incentive to build a team around her (same with Strider, Akuma, and RR) when there are so many characters that can deal more damage than her with 2 assists. She also has a tendency to get bopped for no reason and her incoming mixups are lacking. Plus, Cold Star and Okami Shuffle THC is such a boon for everyone in the game that it almost seems like a waste to have her anywhere except second or last.
My Winter team for a while was Ammy/Sentinel/Akuma. Like Cold Star, Drones and Tatsu make every character way better. I could kill 900k characters (I.E the most dangerous point characters) with minimal effort. It was fun for a while.
Viscant also suggested Ammy/Storm/Akuma in his team tier list article as a viable “Hail-Storm” team. I’m thinking about messing with that as well.

Who was it that was struggling to break 800k with Dante midscreen and one assist? I just got it with Unibeam and building 1.9 bars and saving my groundbounce for the DHC into Vergil.
I gotta say no “DormGasm” is pretty lame.
Don’t know about you guys, but I like my siblings. My older sister is cool and I have a little brother who I play Marvel with which is cool since we go even most of the time. We hardly fight and when we do its because we get salty from Marvel or another fighting game. He’s still a faggot though.
