Bitch Yu da bes. I gotta work on sandwich mixups though cuz Im pretty sure in a few matches I’ve taken over half the life of my opponent (usualy Kanji!) just by sandwich mixups into Sweep > 5D. A real Yu player takes on the challenge

Because Yu has a good neutral game.

You should try picking a mid ier or lower character before you complain about Yu’s tools.

Yeah for real, Yu’s normals are way to good at controling space to have bad nuetral and his DP and 2B are some of the best.

His B attacks are the only real space controlling normals and even then, they’re unsafe on block unless you jc the 2B but then you might be AAed and not able to block. His DP is good especially since its air unblockable but thats it really. Sweep > 5D is his best way to get damage (unless awakened) but that requires a grounded opponent. The only other Oki option is j2A which is hard to connect in combos outside of the corner. C attacks are fast but leave the Persona out for a while and D is basicaly Oki only bc of how incredibly slow they are. I guess, I shouldnt have said his neutral game itself is bad, rather getting a hit that leads into his only real damage option is a bit challenging.

Like I said before his AAAAA does about 2610 damage and thats actually around the most you’ll get from a midscreen combo unless you use more meter, OMB, or use Cross Slash

I’m sure he has damaging anti air and counter hit combos like everyone else. Almost everyone relies on those kinds of situations for damage in this game. I don’t think anyone even has a go to auto pilot midscreen combo outside of their auto combo and most of those suck.
