That also coincides with the fact that Legends 2 ended on a massive cliffhanger. The other games have their own stories filled in to some degree, but what happens after Legends 2 is still a mystery.
Capcom could get themselves out of this hole if they actually made a competent, next-gen Megaman title. Outside of 9 & 10, there haven’t been any new games on a next-gen console. It’s definitely doable; Sonic got itself out of a rut with Colors and Generations. Unfortunately, the fact that there’s so many different Megaman franchises does more harm than good. Both Zero and BN have been concluded, so if they were to kill off ZX and SF they’d make things much easier on themselves. They really tried to milk the cash cow with Megaman back in the 2000’s, but it’s biting them in the butt.

Asura should definitely be in MVC4. he could be a fast Wolverine style character with a high/low mix-up game instead of left/right.
