Slept about 16 hours yesterday.
This is the longest death ever.
SF4 for me as well. Got in like a month before AE, took it pretty seriously but I was satisfied with being the level I was at. Then I got MvC3 and continually strove for a greater understanding of the game, and now I’m the best in the world.

I’ve never had the time and resources to travel out very far to tournaments and meetups but I go to whatever’s close by occasionally. As time goes on, though, my situation will either free me up or keep me locked down further. Many people would kill to have access to the scenes I live around during the year, but I’m almost never able to go. I used to swim at a high level in an aquatics hotspot (SoCal), so traveling to play video games was neither a consideration nor even an option for me.
As such, I don’t really have a fighter that broke me in. I started getting more serious with fighters and focused less on TF2/lolpokemon around 2008 though, but I’ve played fighters purely for messing around my whole life. Just never on a competitive level. And it shows. I can discuss and try to apply what I’ve observed and learned, but execution is lacking form my lack of experience. And because execution facilitates knowledge, every fight is an uphill battle. I’m slowly improving, though, and that’s why I want to make it to more events.
