They’re important. Cl.C, F.A has much farther push back than doing cr.B, st.B/cr.B, cr.A. Not only that, the hit confirm above is negative on block and if you throw a fireball at the end of it, you run the risk of getting guard cancel rolled punished. Cl.C, F.A on block leaves you in a relatively neutral position due to the push back. the light confirms keep you close allowing you to maintain your momentum.

Don’t worry. When I first played KOF 13, I couldn’t get used to the chain timing either or the general flow of a KOF game. It took me a couple weeks to just start comboing in game consistently and months to be able to hit confirm it consistently. It comes through time.
I meant, cr.B, cl.B not cr.B, st.B. far st.B isn’t cancellable into f.A or special moves.
