No offense to Stone, but I watched him play most of the time on Sunday, and his Zero was playing like a garbage online Zero, not how I remember it at all. He was doing unsafe stuff that anyone who knows how to punish Zero would have had many opportunities to kill him (buster xx lightning was a staple in his offense, which is very bad, teleporting behind people without an assist call, etc), and I don’t think he finished more than 1 or 2 loops out of many times he went for them.
He looked pretty fraudulent that night tbh, I’m not sure whether playing online has given him bad habits, or if he was just having a bad day.
After watching Buckethead play Zero, I think he’s a lot better with the character than Stone is. I don’t even know how he didn’t make it to top 16 tbh, he somehow got randomed out by some XF3 Vergil player.

Mentioning Felicia last night made me screw around with my first ever team of Dante (Weasel)/Felicia (ROLLING START-O)/Strider (Telekick) again wondering how I’d ever get dat damage only to realize this is 8 months later Azure, and now I have actual game plans and execution. This shit might just work out if I didn’t always feel pressed into a corner when Kitty is in with Vajra. (I should know what to do but my mind is blank during those times I swear.)
I plan on streaming the last two bosses of SotC tonight so I can get that “story” finished and start something new.
Yeah that sounds good I just hate having a team limited on projectiles like Dante/Vergil/X-23

Ya see, Felicia is A-Okay because she appeals to both men and women. Men love her for obvious reasons, but women love her because she’s cute as a button and they just wanna hug and squeeze her. (Hey, guys wanna do that too.) I remember when Vanilla first came out and MvC3 was at public settings, I’d get cheers from the ladies because they liked Felicia.
Bullet will be fine just so long as she has something that appeals to women.

That’s pretty much the reason why I went Viper after going Amaterasu from Felicia. I need Dat Neutral™.
Funny thing is, I actually should have been a Spy May Stride player from the start since that was the team I liked the most even back at Ultimate’s beginning. I just got it stuck in my head early on that Viper was a stupidly high execution character and got scared. I opted for a point Dante team since that’s my boy, backed by shit that’d get him started free (unblockables with Felicia, derp damage and mixup with Strider) all in theory of course. While point Dante’s fun if you get started, I learned my lesson quick though when my brother started collecting the easy wins with Zero May Cry versus this though. (Because hey, there was still game to be played when Dante left the scene and Felicia approaching on Hadangeki spam with Rapid Slash/Jam Session assists is as awful as it gets for a fighting game newbie.

Felicia eventually got swapped for Amaterasu because I thought “Hey, lockdown and left rights + that abusive THC mixup? Sold.” It also went the longest of my teams since Amaterasu was flexible as hell in the neutral and setups like Veil of Mist - Legion - XF2 Strider & Cold Shots or Strider + Okami Shuffle running about were dumb as hell, but I never got my Amaterasu to a level where she was a contender.
Amaterasu second then became Viper point and ever since I picked her up, I’ve been having the most fun in this game to date. Hyper armor at will to say fuck a mixup/approach? Neutral that makes the stage look like you’re fighting Holly Summers in No More Heroes? Great air movement? The EX NOPE button? The easiest unblockable ever? And she can still grow? I’m in love.
Playing Lei-Lei gets you weird looks from everyone.
She only appeals to select people.
The day Queen has been waiting for has finally come.
On the same day she turns in TTT2, Unknown comes out.
