Had some fun games of Marvel this weekend, it’s nice to have some local opposition, I haven’t played an casuals in forever.

Evo stream party was awesome, didn’t land up watching much Evo but there were fun tournaments and lots of other hilarious things going down in the venue (lol Smash players).

Viscant EVO Champ is out, holy shit.

Viscant has a fucking horrible team. By horrible, I mean it’s utter ass.

Wesker + Larit is solid, Wesker is a solid point character and even nerfed Lariat is good. Wesker also doesn’t need assists, so having Phoenix anchor w/ Wesker battery is smart stuff. Phoenix anchor also = decent.

Why is his team so bad? Haggar has the WORST neutral in the entire game and he has no assists to help it. He can’t call Phoenix and Wesker is only good for an OTG anyway which Haggar can do with c. h xx forward pipe and link into a combo w/ another assist call. Basically Haggar gets zoned / bodied for free.

Haggar is also a shitty ass battery, so long story Viscant is making it hard on himself to build five bar, while dealing with a lack of assists in neutral, snap ins, wall exchanges and being unable to come back from having Wesker getting killed early on.

No one should be surprised by Viscant not doing well. He waited to long to play team Scrub (Vergil/Wesker/Strider). He said himself he took to long to figure out the game unlike how he ‘solved’ Vanilla with his team before.
