Trish is a weakness for Dante though. Her air jH has a bigger vertical hitbox, her OS throw can also be an extremely safe Dive Kick, her crouching hurtbox is also the smallest in the game making it harder (if not impossible) to hit her with Dante’s jH. Besides being a sword normal, Dante’s jH is just like most other jHs. Hell, PW’s jH can cross up and be used as a combo starter.
You should just use j.M when it comes to those chars.

Outside of cr.H none of Trish’s sword normals go across her body like Dante’s though. They’re all vertical slashes which while still effective aren’t as ridiculous as his it seems. For example Dante can float almost through a character and do his j.H it seems…then of course keep comboing.

Aww, people caught on to my execution secret of swapping out swag offline combos and techniques for easy-mode ones when online. Between my two main teams (Strange/Haggar/Arthur, Doom/Strider/Sentinel), this is all the stuff I drop for online.
Strange: Shorten my Spell of Vishanti XFC combo from 5 Impact Palm loops to 3 or 4, shorten my combo off Haggar assist from 4 Impact Palm loops to 2 or 3
Haggar: lolHaggar combos are easy
Arthur: My Arthur combos never work offline anyway
Doom: Nah, I just try for everything and drop my combos when I have to TK two Plasma Beams
Strider: Combos. I stop doing combos.
Sentinel: Stop doing Fly/Unfly and double jump combos, stop doing corner relaunches, all my combos become Cr.MS MMHS OTG xx Hyper

I’m on and up for a couple matches but I’m lightening up on online play it just stops being fun so fast for me. A lot of lab work is about to be put in on Dante and Vergil today. Mostly DT stuff. Trying to level up my mains before I start going into other chars again (Looking at picking X-23, Jill, Spider-man, and Ammy back up)

I think I might consider joining the Dark Wesker bandwagon, Taskmaster’s unblockable isn’t as reliable as using dat gunshot assist+go high during Round Harvest. Plus Trish has some really good combos using that assist. The only thing that might be holding me back is lack of orange trenchcoat…I dunno it’s tough.
