Yea I hope he ends up like viper in that he requires a lot of work but its completely rewarding and we begin to see more and more of him as time goes by. He has the tools to compete and I saw ryan hunter running some serious mix-ups with him on the option select stream. Plus he seems to have 3 very useable assists so thats always welcome.

This actually gave me an idea, giving Ryu Brock’s colors was another great option. Shame Capcom doesn’t care enough to give us Color Customization, otherwise that would be my main Ryu. Instead, I have to keep wondering which looks more like him between normal Ryu and Evil Ryu.

I think not allot of people play Strange or dropped him (including myself) Because surprisingly, he has awkward movements and awkward combos. His normals are just ass, quite short range in compared to his Nemesis (c what I did tahr?) Dormmamu. Grace of Hoggoth crossups IMO take too long to set up and aren’t worth it. Not saying he is bad though. I’m confident that once he gets some serious training mode and dedication he’ll be a force to deal with. Hell i’ve already been hit by allot of Rings of Ragodorr against my Hawkeye. He’s going to be good, just give him some time. What I don’t get is the lack of an airdash. Are you telling me the Sorcerer Supreme a Master of Magic (or former at least) can’t simply move forward in the mid-air quickly?
Jill/Frank/Stride
If you get block Frank’s assist, Jill’s F+H acts as an unblockable and is an EASY 800k.
Jill’s BnB builds enough bars for a DHC to frank’s cart+ Smile. For insta 3/4. Frank’s bnb lands me an insta level 3.
My strider is pretty yamming sexy with assists and pretty amazing without. That’s without factoring in Oroborous.
but put that team against a Hulk and I’m scared out my mind.

Stride’s anti-air assist will help me out with bad zoning match ups.
Surprisingly the Strange Trio are almost Rock Paper Scissors-like in match-ups and I think this was intended. Shuma has the upper-hand against Strange because Shuma is much faster and is more aerial dominant than he is (hence the lack of Strange having an air-dash), But Strange has the upperhand against dormmamu who doesn’t have an answer to Strange’s faster teleport and Zone destroying capabilities. But Dormmamu has an advantage against Shuma because Stalking Flare combined with Flame carpet gives Shuma trouble. It’s a triangular balance lol

People are fickle, I already predicted this shit would happen. If only I could find the post. lol in defense of both camps, RR and DS are gonna take some time to develop, they are really awkward characters to play. At the moment wesker and vergil are all the hype, and while I would never be naive enough to assume there will be a time when wesker isn’t a popular character, I strongly, strongly believe both characters are just really popular right now cause they are easy to pick up. I definitely think as time goes by the number of wesker and vergils is gonna dip quite a bit while someone like DS will probably become more popular.

I agree. The way I see it is like this; if you were so hyped for these characters, why would you not want to contribute to the development process that finally makes them good or playable? It’s been what, two weeks? and people are already dropping characters LOL. It just goes to show that most of these people really didn’t give a shit about the characters and probably realised that they weren’t going to get a ticket to easy win town, so they dropped them in favour of more solid out of the gate characters. A character being awkward to play is a shit excuse imo. To me that just sounds like “I haven’t put in enough time to fully learn this character yet”. Expect to see these people jump back on the badwagon as soon as dat new “Superior tech!” drops, and then get blown up because they didn’t know how to use the character in the first place.
Respect. Quitting before you’ve even tried to make it work is my gripe.
