Alright, let’s talk MAVHEL 3.

Tested Morrigan to see the technology Chris G uses. It takes some rhythm to control her, but when you do, she’s pretty magic. Not my kind, though, since for online she won’t help me.

Her combos are among the best looking combos in the game. Vergil probably wins, though, I have my own combo that takes my opponent everywhere on the screen. Real swag.

Tested ground combo to that launcher she has, then do that air combo close to the ground, flying, unflying and all that shit. I also use her airdash to chase my opponent after a Soul Fist cancelled with Fly Mode.

i don’t wanna say he quit and he’s busy but i also hear he’s busy making the SF X T guide. also he works at g4 i hear so work probaly got him busy

I think they said on the Shadowloo Showdown stream last night that Clock only recently got back into playing UMvC3 (he was a little rusty the first couple matches).

I’m considering putting her as 2nd on my Nemesis team. Gold Armor+Lei Lei Pendulum should be alot of fun. I have yet to find a solid Nemesis team, so maybe this will be the one?

He was on the Offcast Shadoloo Showdown Qualifiers stream yesterday. His play still looked good when he was at his best, but it’s obvious he hasn’t gotten to play much lately. He kept dropping crucial Doom and Strider stuff.

He’s a teacher, and he also works for BradyGames (writing the SFxT guide right now I believe), so I’d imagine he’s very busy.

Throw in some gong loops in there (cr.:h: :f::h: :rdp:; can get around 3 reps usually) to beef up the combo’s damage. Check out the Hsien-Ko combos thread! Oh, and are you ending your combos with Gong --> Tenrai Ha loops?

Lei Lei and Ammy go great together, by the way.

I’ve messed around with it a bit, and while it’s no top tier team, it’s fun. Pendulum can help set up some dirty command grabs, and if it hits, it allows the big guy to hitconfirm.

Vajra, a solid addition to any Nemesis team. Try Doom too, he works really well with Nemesis using plasma beam. Not missiles.

So, Plasma would be the better assist? How would I properly deal with characters that like to stay at SJ height though?

They help with her approach, but they work better with zoning-heavy characters. Plasma Beam might work better for some situations. Then again, missiles may allow her to set up armor better. I dunno; I haven’t messed with LL/Doom since Week 1. I don’t think anyone in the forums uses that pair. Otherwise, I’d direct you to them! Ask in the team building thread though.

Yeah, it’s a killer assist I do agree, but like you said she’s a harder character to control. I can’t even control the characters I play now yet, LOL. I think she’d be totally worth the effort though.

Somehow I forgot about him dropping HHHHHHHHH of all things. That hurt to watch.

It’s odd, though. His muscle memory kicked in and allowed him to do some fairly fancy stuff, but then he’d just drop it partway-through because of being rusty.

That’s for sure. I never stick someone on a team just for their assist and not have a clue what to do with said character personally…just isn’t right. That’s why I’ll keep with what I have until I get comfortable with her, and then she’ll be integrated onto an official team.
