It’s only bigger because there are much more MM games than RE and SF though, and the MM franchise hasn’t been as sucessful, or big like these 2 franchises you mentioned. Sure it has a lot more games, but from a sales perspective, the sales are lower than these 2 franchises. It might have been making money in the past, but it hasn’t been doing so hot lately.
As the games get more complex, it costs more to produce them even with reused assets, but sales don’t really increase. And, well, to be frank, sales have been in decline since 2005.
Fought a guy with 5 bars and I still lag. I know these guys are cheating now
EDIT: Fought ANOTHER guy with full bars and lagged the entirety of the match. Seriously, either they’re cheating something fierce, or the netcode still sucks.
You have to admit though, Megaman 9 and 10 were pretty goddamn rad.
I definitely wouldn’t mind if they made a new game for handhelds that uses the gameplay layout of the original 2-D Megaman/X games while adding a stylistic 2D/3D graphical style and a lot of different stages.
Seriously if Capcom made a game like this, I go out and would buy that in a heartbeat as I’m sure many other people would.
So Capcom you know what to do…
Yeah I do admit that these two were good. The sales were still lower compared to the characters that were introduced on the Capcom side in this game (with the exception of Firebrand and Hiryu).
Thats the problem, imo. If you rush in the start, well who cares, youre kinda putting yourself in a bad spot because no decent player is actually gonna get hit, tbh. If you turtle up, its pretty easy to get opened up.
I just don’t see him seriously at high level play, and if he is chosen I still think Hsien-Ko is a better choice for what people are going to use him for. Still, I hope I’m proven wrong.
does anyone else find that newbies will have such a hard time with new online matches?
i had mvc3 and aren’t amazing online but i think anyone new picking up umvc3 will have such a hard time winning & not winning will pee people off and alienate new players? the game should have a lobby system where people can play beginners/intermediate/advanced player options…?
I honestly didn’t think thor was that bad in vanilla, he was low tier no doubt but he wasn’t unplayable and with the buffs he got I think he is gonna be a very solid character in ultimate.
The only other buff that I would like Thor having (aside from Mighty Thunder being useful) is the ability to nullify projectiles with all of his normals that have lightning surging from the hammer. He doesn’t need it at all, but man that would be so cool. “Hadoken!!” “Get that junk outta my face!”
Same with MODOK. I couldn’t see him being used effectively in high play, but someone managed to make him work (Thor and V.Joe as well). I don’t know. I got a lot of love for Wright and I want to be able to make him work out for me without having to rely on him for assist only. Maybe I should put Hsien-Ko and Wright on a team…
You know, those two have good assist synergy, because Ko can protect Wright from teleporters/others who get around Maya with Pendulum. The only problem being that you have one character who is weak on point, and another character who is completely shaky until you get him going. Though if you manage to make them work somehow, that’d be amazing.
