Currently 3rd on the PSN Boards is a guy who uses a really good Wesker/Doom/Phoenix team, he’s beaten me more times than i’ve beaten him. His Phoenix solo is really good, but his Wesker without Doom’s hidden missile assist is pretty average.
I’m also feeling Strider /w Ouroboros is actually a good matchup against Dark Phoenix, because they spin around strider she can’t teleport behind, and Vajra defeats a keepaway, salty ball/trap spamming Phoenix.
I can’t into team building so I will list some characters I wanna play and hope one of you will make a deeeeeeeeeecent team for me

Frank
Those dudes are preferred, but I can make exceptions honestly, though there are 7 or so characters that I just won’t play. What do you guys think?

Strider seems like he’s vulnerable to snaps like Phoenix. Snap him in and (try to) kill him off before he goes Ouro. And XF. Ouro + XF seems to be the big deal here.

Uh, Frank (Shopping Cart)/Strange (Daggers or Balthaak)/Strider (Vajra) or replace Strange with Ryu and put Tatsu or put Firebrand on point. Frank is best on point IMO because then he gets to build his camera levels daggers or balthaak are great projectile/beam assists respectively and Vajra is just a crazy punish/stop everything assist, it’s a freaking tracking teleporting dive kick that can’t be punished on block without XF or assists and causes ground bounce on aerial characters what more can you ask for lol
Had that happen before, and I tried to raw tag out immedientally but then I remembered your assists are “Frozen” for 10 seconds post snap back lol and it got me killed. However he can escape quickly by using Excalibur M to get out of the way when he comes in then play keepaway a bit before switching out. Or hell just play Strider from there, he may have low health but he doesn’t need XF or Ouroboros to be dangerous.
I guess it takes me about 10-15 matches before I really get into my groove. I was sucking up pretty bad, then I had a few matches against a friend of mine who always roflstomps me, but I was beating him.
With Haggar/Arthur/Felicia and Wright/Frank/Felicia no less. Those teams make me happy.
I actually play Frank in the second spot. His Shopping Cart really helps out the point character, and once the point character gets the enemy into an air combo, TAC into Frank and then go into air combo B, B, C, Tools of Survival A, B, Tools of Survival A, B, Camera. Gets you to Lv3+ really quick.
It’s the Vergil/Dante/Wesker show, online ! Throw in your occasional shoto and you know everything is well, in the marvel online cosmos.

Once a-fucking-gain, there’s been a fuck up with my pre-order. And Amazon haven’t even dispatched the game yet. What’s the point of a pre-order if it you get it later than you would if you just walked into a shop. I’ve cancelled my order and I’ll just have to walk down town and buy it after lunch.

Could just leave it and return the Amazon copy to the store once that comes so you can have your pre-order DLC.
I didn’t get my preorder on release day, albeit it shipped then.
Didn’t get an EU copy so I have no XP with Amazon UK… but I suspect there wasn’t release day shipping options.
Personally I find there’s no reason to pre-order unless you’re afraid the stores won’t have it on launch, or there’s a perk you want with it.
I would’ve liked the skins, but I’m not waiting an extra week like I did with Vanilla. I’m through with pre-orders. This happens every damn time.
Well it’s not like you need to wait… just buy a copy from GAME or wherever, and return the copy to GAME from Amazon whenever that comes.
A friend of mine preordered from all different places and then went and bought the game at midnight release. Plans to return the other copies when they arrive.

It’s all good. I’m getting the game today no matter what. Besides it gives me a chance to sell Marvel 3. Might pick up the guide as well if I’m feeling like a big spender. I still have a shit tonne of work to do, but when I get off tonight I’m spending all night with my boy Hiryu.

I’ll have to jump on the guide sooner or later. Rather later, need to gather some change to buy a new stick since I broke it in july. Four months off from vanilla, a pad to re-learn and new characters + buffs to jot down = quite the salt !

Eh those guys are dicks (the Wesker/Akuma players) and bring out the bad in all of us (making us taunt, body them so hard we should get charged for rape, etcetera etcetera
As for controlling Vergil, assists and his round trip help a LOT. He can teleport behind the enemy right before the sword comes back to him making it go twds the opponent one more time. His Trick Up can catch an opponent if you think they’re gonna jump to avoid a teleport behind them (very useful against Hawkeye). His wavedash is good as well and if you want, you always have the option of doing some zoning and then using his swords.
Honestly I dropped Dorm as soon as I saw I couldnt do a standard relaunch combo with assists. That changes my whole gameplay with him:(
Its funny, we used to have mostly dark stages and now we have a snow stage and Mags with an all white costume. And people thought his mix-ups were unseeable before?
