“Again”? I’ve been one of the proponents that the air dash nerf isn’t a big deal in this game. But as a SOLO character against against an armored one with assists, it’s definitely something to consider. It’s not about doing it on reaction. Hulk players, backed by, say, Sentinel Force, already Gamma Charge like crazy around the screen, and that has armor now. Hulk’s armor will take him right through Magneto’s EM Disruptor, and then he’ll clock him as well. If anything, I think you’re underestimating Hulk because there are few good ones out there, and people aren’t really considering his changes and how very good he is now. Shit, on the Dormammu forums we were just talking about how Hulk scares us now, and he was free in Vanilla.
I’ve also said since the beginning that Morrigan is almost completely unaffected by the air dash nerf unless you’ve been playing her wrong. Morrigan is still on my team. Of the few times I’ve died because of the air dash nerf, it’s because I was desperate and time was running low, so I was willing to throw her out there to see if I could make magic happen. Morrigan is probably the safest character in this game if everyone were a robot - she’s right up there with Dante and C. Viper in that regard.
Define “being true to his home game”. If by that you mean, say, to play exactly like in his games, then I think you’re wrong. If it was by that he’d have to summon chests to get weapons and this simply wouldn’t work in a game like this, plus he uses all of them once so, this doesn’t represent *represent *GnG’s gameplay. Or if by that you mean he’s supposed to not have things that he didn’t have in his original games, in a fighting game (such as a dash), then I think this is false too, after all, some characters that didn’t have dashes in their games, actually have in this game because it’s a necessity… so I think this is wrong too, sorry.
Exactly, why is it that losing his armor causes a *hard *knockdown? if it was a soft knockdown, then it would’ve been acceptable at least. But having this as a hard knockdown really forces you to only play keepaway… and that is bad. A character with such a shitty mobility like Arthur shouldn’t have less than 1.000.000 health.
I agree with you in this one, he really is underappreciated/underplayed, and there is some really sick stuff you can find from him. But what really makes him good is pretty much *only *because of X-Factor with Super Armor. He has no real way of getting in unless you have assists… and because he doesn’t have a normal dash.
Seriously though, the only real buff he needs is a normal dash… that would help him so much in pretty much anything.
Actually, he can get in easily with j.S on x-factor. Like I said, a pseudo-tri dash. That’s why I said he’s way better on anchor.
Aside from the normal dash, he also needs to remove the hard knockdown after gold armor. If he had a ground dash, and at least soft knockdown instead of hard, he’d actually be more viable.
EDIT: Just wanted to mention how I felt right at home with Arthur in ultimate when I wasn’t that good with him in vanilla. I think using Phoenix Wright made me understand keepaway more LOL.
Capcom is starting to make things more epic. But please redo all of Shuma’s voices and make him sound REALLY pissed. Maybe then I’ll be freaking out everytime I fight against the bastard.
i was thinking like “man i remember that pic when day 1 sent was out and it was sent vs sent 3 fate of 2 sents”
anyway i got a question…has anyone seen that new (sorta) corner combo glitch that desk show? i wonder if this applies with all loops. if so that mean u can’t fucking press shit at all when u getting combo’d (as you should lol)
I saw this late… but fuck. STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP. The PC version of DMC3 SE is fucking garbage, do not get this steaming pile of crap. You’re better off emulating the PS2 version. PC version of DMC4 is the best one though, shit is so fucking cash. Legendary Dark Knight mode all up on this bitch.
I agree that that buff to his j.S really helps to get in, and his mixup potential has been quite increased because of that. I’m not really much of a fan of placing a character as an anchor on my team, because I find them more viable on point with the help of assists.
I’ve also mentioned that it should cause a soft knockdown after the Super Armor breaks. Like I said, this forces you to pretty much only play keepaway, and his combos are quite good, so a soft knockdown would help him a lot.
If they give him a ground dash, and soft knockdown after his Super Armor breaks, then I would say he would have to have at least 950.000 health. I’d be happy enough if they just give him a dash or soft knockdown though.
