UMvC3 General Discussion: You can't control it

UMvC3 already losing steam online. Yea it really did kinda bombed didn’t it.
Well lower than the expected for sure.

He does, its jump loops and relaunches. Thing is they’re kind of situational (They only work off of a raw launcher) and they do much less damage than the basic BnB, stylish? yes, but much less damage and practicality.

Only reason i’m not playing online atm is because the dorm has crap connection, besides I kind of just play player match anyways. Ranked has no real demeanor of skill a 1st lord could just be a master of Wesker XF3 comebacks.

Seriously tho, now that Sent is scrap heap its no surprise that Doom Ammy and Strider is, quite literally, the new clockw0rk.

I hate your Dante when you’re not dropping combos

I gotta see what the damage is of the combos I do with Ghost but its 1 assist 1 hyper BnB and I think it looks good. 1 I can do anywhere and the other is a corner combo which of course does more damage and the hyper I end them with depends on if I want to DHC or keep Ghost in.

@Kaiten92: However what is Really the best part about Nemesis in terms of damaging is not stylish combos (Though he does have that “fierce” factor behind his combos) but those resets, I swear every time I land one of those tentacle slams I just get as giddy as a school girl.

I remember Capcom stating that getting Phoenix Wright into Turnabout mode was very difficult, yet people are getting the 3 items within 5 seconds in some matches I have played. Then they use Phoenix as a super assist, spamming it, and hoping he knocks you up into a beam hyper. I blocked nearly the entire match, waited for the Phoenix to lose his super saiyan aura, which he did, and I proceeded to beat the shit out of the characters in the last 20 seconds and win. This game on XBL is horrific at times. So much rage quitting and mashing of beam hypers.

Who needs stylish when that BnB is almost guranteed dead character and the tentacle slam resets are stylish imo

Yup, exactly what I do. Really it’s just for trolling/having fun purposes, getting PW to Turnabout is very satisfying, especially if you land is level 3, its just all the hype. Even if I lose idc, my PW went Turnabout.

I just spent an hour in training mode trying to connect j.:h:, st.:l:,:m:,:h:, :f:+:h:xx BC Volcano, j.:h:, air play, j.:h:, st.:h:, :s:, clay pigeon, :f:+:h:, BC air trick, j.:s:, beehive, beehive xx Million Dollar. I just can’t consistently get the transition between the j.H after air play into st.H. Think I just need to start going straight into st.S clay pigeon etc. At least I can bold cancel now!

Ice shots is the shiz for Strider, but I’m loyal to my Dante/Strider/Doom team. Dat plasma beam yo. Besides, I don’t want to look like a bandwagoner. I’m nowhere near decent enough to do the team any justice.

Yes they are, I mentioned them in an above posts. Guranteed dead characters ftw.

I actually play Strider/Dante /Ammy bc Cold Star is amazing, especially for crossing up after a throw.

2 things about that Dante combo:

  1. going straight into MH instead of LMH does more dmg
  2. I usually just connect st:s: after the airplay j:h: because its easier. The trick is to delay the first j:h: (before airplay) just a tad bit. If you dont, the combo will always miss on Wolvie, FW, Firebrand and a few others. Then you delay the second j:h: until the last moment. Sounds stupid hard but it gets easier once you practice.

yeah Nemisis is scary, sad things is the only way I could TOD a full life Nemmy would be with Ghost and it requires an XF combo. lvl 1 XF will do it but damn that guy is scary. Most Nemmy’s i run into are decent, I haven’t come accross to many guys using him and not know what they’re doing.

j.H air play j.H st.S Clay Pidgeon is a little hard to connect in the corner for me unless you backdash which I still don’t know the timing of. After Volcano I just jump back then do j.H air play j.H and I can connect Clay Pidgeon after lol. I did MH Cold Shower in Vanilla but that feels way too wonky and it does less damage anyway.

Yeah my number one tactic is to anti-Phoenix him right now. Snap him to the back and kill the other two characters. Then run till he comes in lol nah I got resets;)

BTW if Dante had a command grab that hit in the air, this game would be way too easy.

I was wondering, why does that do less dmg? I mean it does a LOT less even if I only do two shots of CS. But yeah you just gotta jump back after Volcano to connect Up shots.

Dante stole the thread, bitches8-)

What if Wright had Turnabout all the time, but no godly invincible assist?
Broken?

I try to make mine the best one out there but we’ll see lol.
Signs of a Bad Nemesis Player IMO:
-Throws launcher randomly
-Fires grounded rockets to zone
-Never uses deadly reach or predominatly uses grounded deadly reach
-Abuses Nemesis’ armored moves
-Does not go outside of ABCS -> BBCS Rockets
Signs of a Good Nemesis player
-Uses Deadly Reach to pressure and control space, both air and angled variants
-plays mindgames with the opponent, makes them scared into blocking for tentacle slams
-Uses helpful assists to lockdown the opponent for Nemesis
-TK rockets or jump rockets to zone
-Knows the matchups and how to deal with certain characters
-Effective use of his overhead moves
-Making safe blockstrings when blocked,
-Implementing clothesline and RL Slam into combos

Good question.

lvl3 - would basically be Magneto’s (not broken)
Finger of Doom or w/e the hell it’s called - not sure
what evidence would we have?

The funny thing about the Hsien-Ko costume is that I’ve promoted those ideas on various forums (one of the only reasons I joined Unity, heh), and it was met with positive reception. So, provided they do actually make new alts, they have to put one of those in., seeing as they were all considered/are her only options really

Yeah, I usually just run normal colors on my characters. They just work well for their character.

@OWA: Did you see the matches between Unknown and Noel Brown? He does a Tentacle Slam into another Tentacle Slam. Is that just being stylish? I’ll post the vid when I get the chance in the Nem video subforums.

Don’t make me have to tell another Morrigan joke.

To tell the truth I don’t really watch tournament streams, I know I should but I just don’t. Too busy doing other stuff I guess; or honestly lack of interest maybe i’m insane idk. But you don’t have the game so it would make sense that you do watch them.

I’m pretty sure it did less because of M being in early in the combo. I can’t test right now so I’m not sure.
