I always end up getting a random move when I try to do that quickly. Trying to find a more consistent way.

Good shit. That’s another thing I’ll have to learn some day. Well I guess I have an edge when it comes to doing fusion shit because studied a lot of shred techniques before I started studying jazz. The tapping’s there, alternate picking definitely there (my idols are John Petrucci, Al di Meola, and Paul Gilbert lol), sweep picking not so much. And I can’t do fast legato lines across all strings like Vai yet. For now though, I just wanna know what intervals are used a lot in fusion to get that sound, modes, progressions etc. Fusion is swag as fuck and I’d love to be a great fusion guitarist someday.

edit: Greatness. By the way, shoutouts to the Marvel 2 soundtrack for influencing my musical tastes early on as a kid.

Everybody just sees Deadpool as a weak Dante or Wesker. I think people were expecting Deadpool to be more offensive but when he was shown to be more of zone (with teleports to close the gap at times)…people just saw the flashy shit from Wesker and Dante and went to them instead.

Hold -> ( :l: -> :h: -> xx ) is what I’ve been doing. It’s akin to a piano roll except you want to think of yourself using a normal and then canceling into an EX like you would in KoF. You don’t want to go mashing it too much because you’ll whiff into something nasty, such as Taskmaster’s +:h:, and after a while it’s almost as if you’re piano rolling slowly at first then quickly running through and :h:. Shouldn’t whiff, shouldn’t eventually throw out an :h: like the more common :h: and :l: plink dashing, and it should be easy enough to get into habit of doing.

Okay, I think I just found a more consistent way of wavedashing backwards. If I just jiggle the stick from back to down back rapidly I can wavedash backwards with more control for a little loss of speed.

Edit: I’ll try that technique also Mustachio.

What kind of stick do you have? Most sticks that people own are square gate and I have no issue backwards wave-dashing with that. I pretty much grind the stick along the corner for :db: .

I own a Qanba Q4RAF and an MVC2 TE. I dunno what kind of gates are on both of them though.
