im excited to play cyclops. never played megaman in any of the other versus games, so not too excited. i just hope cyke has a beam assist as good as dooms

You have a fair point, Frank’s gameplay/plan hardly revolves around summoning zombies.
As a fighting game character Sheva would need something like that, without Majini summons she would just be a Chris/Jill hybrid.
In pre-MvC3 days I sometimes imagined HUNK in a Chris/Summoning style character.
Gunplay and maybe a hyper involving a G-Virus infected William Birkin.
That’s the only way I could see another Resident Evil “hero” character being added in this game (involving summons) to make them somewhat unique.
In terms of RE villians, Jack Krauser could be an intresting one, involving knife play and an Powerup hyper featuring his T-Virus Arm.
I’m always a bit dissapointed when it comes to wishlist that people (in terms of Capcom’s side) stick to much to the Street Fighter characters.
It isn’t called Marvel vs CAPCOM for nothing.
The only SF character I would welcome to the cast is M.Bison (dictator), moslty due to his history nad uniqueness.
Funny thing is, recently rumors are flying that UMvC3 while not be seeing any DLC/updates in the forseeable future.
They said that with SF4 AE as well, so never say never, although I do understand the licensing issues with Marvel.
Give UMvC3 some time to evolve, coolest thing imo would be an expension to the cast around a year after UMvC3’s launch.
Come on, isn’t 4 RE characters enough for you? I think they should focus more on the lesser-known or less represented franchises; I don’t play many Capcom games, though, so I wouldn’t really be able to tell you what those are. I just want Hayato back.

HUNK or Ashley Graham lethal joke character featuring Leon S. Kennedy in her Level 3 named LEEEEEEOOOOOOON where he shows up and wrecks the opponent for 1M damage >_>
Isn’t there enough RE characters? No, no there is not! Honestly I’m more of a Marvel guy. Outside of a few characters like the ones I mentioned I’m not that big of a fan of their characters. Granted Rolento/Hugo could be sexy beasts.

Can’t think of any more, nor can I find any other semi-demi-known games. Rival Schools, Star Gladiator, and Red Earth are all fighters. I won’t include the Alien games nor the JoJo’s games because they are owned by different companies.

Sengoku Basara - Date is the understandable most popular choice, but there’s a wide cast to choose from
Dino Crisis - Regina could easily jack Jill’s moveset/playstyle from MvC2 just with dinosaurs instead of zombies
There’s also Lost Planet but…man that franchise is mediocre (imo at least)
Oh and your Onimusha suggestion, Soki from Dawn of Dreams was also in TvC since you referenced Batsu for Rival Schools. Speaking of Rival Schools Vergil’s white alt is sort inspired by Kyosuke apparently.
Can’t believe I forgot about Dino Crisis. And P.N.0.3, even if Spencer’s white color is inspired by that and I don’t like Vanessa very much.
Jill’s white and black is also inspired by it and eh she’s ok buuuuuuuuut she’d be really unique and I think that’s important for new characters
