Shits on sale on the X-Box. Bought the game at 3am for $5, costume pack for $5 and Jill and Shuma are $1.25 each. It should be disappearing from the PS3 in another hour or two.

What future generation? Most of the people who are going to be playing this game are already playing this game, and they already have Shuma and Jill.
I’m more sympathetic towards the people who put in hours learning their DLC characters and incorporating them into their team than to the relative few people who are getting locked out. Of course, it would be ideal if Shuma and Jill stayed, but that’s obviously not happening.
You will still be able to re-download them from your account history.
Anyway I’m sure the future generation will just hack the shit out of the game to unlock everything. I wouldn’t be surprised if people have started already. Playable Galactus stage here we come.

Angelic tweeted that he was told by MrWizard that the Xboxes for Evo have had the DLC downloaded. It doesn’t look like they’re getting banned.

Checked PSN and it seems they already took all the PS3 DLC down even though today was supposed to be the last day. Whomp whomp.
I still see all the DLC on PSN, but it’s at full price.

So that would mean the “sale” on soon-to-be-gone-forever UMVC3 content would not go through, forcing people to pay the full price?
If that is the case, that would be downright insulting.
After having to buy successive SF4 add-ons and feeling screwed over with my Limited Edition pre-order SFxT, I decided not to buy Capcom products anymore, unless they’re secondhand. I was willing to make an exception because I simply love UMVC3, but if the only option is the full price, I guess that’s it for me.
Mind you, I don’t want to turn this into a Capcom bash-fest. My gripes with Capcom policies are my problems…I would be disappointed (again) if I had to pay full price or forfeit the content forever. Sad day if that’s the case…
Just so everyone’s clear, you can still re-download delisted content that you have already bought and deleted. At least on XBL.

No, but the writing’s on the wall. This is the end of (U)MVC3. I don’t know how the negotiations went that resulted in this situation, but it might well spell either the end or a very long wait for something like Marvel vs Capcom 4.
And the DLC is still not on sale on the European PSN Store, so I’m guessing it’s not going to be on sale at all.
Well, it can only go down from here. The community has been capped off at its current level, and will proceed to shrink from there. I couldn’t ask for a better time to release Xrd.
Well, I just missed it. Didn’t own a 360 until today (picked it up with a healthy boxing day discount and gift cards) and when I went in the store I checked online to see if it was still possible to get the DLC - it was. By the time I got home a couple hours later it was too late…it’s all gone

I was gonna get the digital copy and the DLC for xbox just on the off chance I choose to get a 360, but Microsoft made me go through so much bullshit to sign up that it just wasn’t worth it. Guess they don’t want my money.
Would anyone mind letting me download umvc3 off their psn account? I know I could still buy a physical copy but I’ve avoided moving on to this game since release and even if I do casually get into it it’s one of those games I’d rather just have downloaded to avoid physical disc changing when I’m ready to play something else a half hour later. I don’t have many downloads available for trade but if you want to pick up 3rd strike, super turbo, the alpha series, puzzle fighter and a few other non related SF titles in exchange please pm me.
@jiffy You can’t download of someone’s account without seeing them irl, so probably no. but if you go to the psn store and go to the Vita section you can actually see that both the umvc3 game and it’s DLC are still available. You can download the vita version if the description says it’s a cross buy, and you will have UMVC3 and the DLC. You will have to pay normal price though. Hopefully I helped you out, and hope to play you online in UMVC3 one day, good luck.
