Somebody wanted me to make a video for them, so, figured I’d share it as well. For some reason this is new to Ultimate, and didn’t exist in Vanilla. At least, AFAIK.

@mrmattroxx do you mean the glitch itself or the dante variation?

the exchange glitch has been known for a long time with many chars. basically just doing a TAC in a way that you land right after it hits so that you won’t be tagged out. side/down are forced bounces and up is just a certain amount of hitstun. you do not get the effects of a tac in the combo. not worth doing since it’s techable, but rayray iirc once did the sentinel one on stream for swag

I meant of the way that if u TAC and than drop the combo as long as u don’t touch the floor u can stil TAC even if they are on the floor.

Joker found that a while ago, I’ll link the video if I can find it. You can even continue the TAC infinite on the next character after you kill the first one (and they don’t block the incoming mixup).

Not quite the same I guess, but we’ve known for a while that the game doesn’t care if the opponent is on the ground, only if the attacking character touches the ground (this is why Iron Man’s infinite with Smart Bomb OTG works).

minor thing that hasn’t been posted here afaik. at 12:06 Roachking DHCs into Phantom Dance, Sumbrwnkid imputs Drive when the hyper is almost through active frames. at that little “flash” of Dante’s special, both chars switch sides…(?)

Glitch I found a very long time ago. Never seen it posted anywhere else so I figured I’d put it here. Bionic Bomber has some very strange properties behind it. It has constant acceleration the further he falls but since SuperJump height is probably only about 1/3 of a Stages ACTUAL height, you never notice it. So I got bored and took him to the top of the stage and did it and to my surprise I found out Bionic Bomber has a 3rd hit to it. In the 2nd video I linked, it shows that I reset the dummy in the air and I hit him with raw Bomber which in normal instances is only 2hits. But you can clearly see a 3rd hit hitting and you can see an extra ring near the impact that hit also. If you go up to the top of the stage and do Bomber, you’ll see the ring on its own about halfway down but it still has a hitbox when it appears. All it made me think of was he was breaking an in-game Sound Barrier cause of the cracking noise it makes when it appears. But I decided to randomly XFactor cancel after the 3rd hit appears and it turns out Spencer can float in midair at anypoint AFTER that 3rd hit activates. You cannot move manually, you are stuck in either standing or crouching position depending on what you do(crouching attacks make hit crouch forever and standing attacks make him stand), the S button no longer does anything, you only have LMH, c.LMH and f.H. No specials can be done either. Only available option outside of LMH are your assists and Team Super. Then I found out if Spencer blocks something while in this state, he will then be stuck in a stationary falling animation with access to his LMH buttons and restored use of S and Specials which will take him out of the glitched state. I found it really interesting how Bionic Bomber worked so I wanted to record stuff and get it out there. If you watch the 4 videos in order, they’ll make sense.

TL;DR, Do Bionic Bomber at the top of the stage, shit can get weird. Enjoy :smiley:

I’m sure many people wont know but, is the two character glitch actually a glitch, or is it actually remnants of old code which still lingers? I understand the means to getting the trick to work is a glitch, but the system seems strangely optimised for having two point characters on screen at once.

Might’ve found a new freeze glitch:

PS3 (Ultra Slim or whatever)

Magneto (a) / Dr. Doom (a) / Dante (a)
Happy birthday someone (tried against Hulk/Wesker and Deadpool/Wesker and Nova/Deadpool) with magneto, launch, MMH or whatever and spike them down, trijump closer to their body and THC.
Screen freezes.

I think that because Shockwave,Photon Array and Million dollars all have 1 frame (0?) startups, they’re generating too many hits on the exact same frame and fucking everything up. Just photon array alone has 13 hits on the first frame (because it hits both sides due to the spacing) and it’s hitting 2 characters.

Anyway, I’d be very glad if anyone else could test this out for me, since I only have my PS3 to test and you all know how trustworthy the system is with this game.

random glitch I found out while the character hack was going on middle of last year.

if you hex edit a button to do the 1 meter character swap and pick nova, if you character swap while air dashing, your tagged in character will actually slide off screen. They will keep sliding forever until you jump or input flight. It gets hilarious when you pick doom or zero, doom’s projectiles will actually fade out completely after awhile, but zeros? nah they don’t fade, they get FASTER, his level 3 buster and hadangeki become lighting fast, you can also call assists while in this state.

There was a video posted recently of somebody fucking around with two Hsien-Kos reflecting projectiles and this behavior was seen there as well. They get faster the longer they stay on screen for some reason.
