Why do you need a stun bar if you know what you do anyway ? if you know your character enough you know when the stun is about to happen and you go for a reset at the proper moment. If there’s a stun bar your opponent can think about the potential reset and be more likely to block it.
What I’d really like is a visual clue when you do a combo to see the amont of damage something did. You know, when you see a long combo but you don’t know exactly how much damage it did, a red life during this combo is a nice feature ; Even just to see how much a counter hit move did. For example Ryu hp.shoryu counter hit does 200 damage it’ll be cool to actually see this amazing amount of damage on a single hit. I don’t know if it’s clear.
Also, remove that additional damage reduce the less life you have, but I’m dreaming there…

I want to see a counter hit level 3 red focus some day. That will do 260+ damage by itself. I just want to see that much life evaporate instantly. It’s so much more satisfying seeing it go instantly then slowly during a long combo. It will look even devastating against a low health character like Seth or Akuma.
I’m a little late to this discussion and SF4 isn’t my main game anymore anyway, but I’d just like to say that earlier in my career stun bars would have been immensely helpful just to get an understanding of the requirements for stun to go down. As someone who came into SF4 with no prior competitive SF background, I had no idea that holding back prevented your stun from going down for the first couple of years of SF4; AE was already on its way out by the time I learned this and I started playing day 1 vanilla. It’s just something that no one ever talked about, as far as I know it’s not mentioned anywhere in the game itself or the manual, and I only had to ask about it because after all that time a situation finally came up where I got stunned after not taking damage for a good 20 seconds and went “what the fuck was that?”. My training buddies were all dumbfounded that I didn’t know holding back prevents stun from decreasing, meanwhile I was dumbfounded that such basic and important information wasn’t more readily available. A stun guage would have solved all of that. It’s admittedly a minor gripe at this point, but there’s a reason transparency is a good thing in game design.
Question: Has Capcom confirmed that the 5 new characters are going to get animated OP/EN?

Balrog maximum charge turn punch counter hit, super cancel. 90% damage on Thawk, super cancel turns it into an instant kill. Ill never delete that replay.
You know what would be really cool if they had the time to do it? To redo the winposes.

but for victory poses? It’s pretty close between Dudley and Dan for best. Oni’s is pretty cool actually, one of the more interesting ones which is kind of funny given how uncreative the concept of Oni is.
Also props to THawk for continuing to be the most wonderfully stereotyped of all. Gotta love the eagle landing on arm. It’d only be better if this was THawk’s victory pose:
