Events on the Capcom Pro Tour will be split into premier events, independent ranking events, and online tournaments. Champions of the premier events will automatically receive entry into the Capcom Cup bracket, and the top sixteen players at every tournament will be awarded points relative to their placement and event tier. All in all, sixteen spots will be up for grabs, which is sure to provide some intense action at the tournaments chosen to take part.
The short list of events that will comprise the Capcom Pro Tour has been included below, but you can expect more to be added as the year goes on.

Tournaments not included in the above lists can also apply for ranking event points by visiting the tour’s About page.
A full rundown of how points will be divvied up has been included below.

Each of the premier events will have their Street Fighter tournaments broadcast through the official Capcom Fighters channel on Twitch (with the exception of Evo, during which Capcom will only handle pools), but will remain independent in all other aspects. According to the press release, their goal for the Capcom Pro Tour is to provide support for organizers of the aforementioned tournaments through additional infrastructure, higher production quality, and more.
Further details on these events and the online portion of the Capcom Pro Tour will be provided at a later date, so be sure to keep your eyes on its official website as we progress through the year.
Sounds awesome to me. Thoughts?
