Ultra changes (location test)

OK, so this might be my imagination BUT; does anyone else find the crouching jab links much easier with the mask off???..

It’s a no-go. I am enjoying the faster charge time for RCF, but it is still too slow to pull off empty jump cr.LK / cr.MK xx LP RCF.

I’ve just discovered and confirmed a stealth nerf for Vega.

Ultra Vega cannot trade EX FBA / Super Combo -> Bloody High Claw’s knee launcher -> full animation. Ultra Vega has to go the back wall so the Ultra Combo hits. If he trades and then hits with U1’s knee launcher, Vega will just pass through the opponent on the way back.

This might be a mistake on Capcom’s part due to reworking his Super Combo to hit on the way up. Or, if it is fully intended as a nerf, that’s a shame.

Trade EX FBA -> Bloody High Knee -> Bloody High Claw did 414 damage (422 counter hit).
Trade EX FBA -> Bloody High Claw does 390 damage (398 counter hit).

We’re getting 24 less damage for when we get that sick trade for a potential comeback. Don’t worry, all his other post trade combos work, including Splendid Claw.

I practiced this by having Ryu and Sagat perform jump back HK on a loop.

That’s interesting. I never even knew about that in the first place. I wonder if it’s a side effect or a legitimate nerf?

Think I’ve found a kind of neat buff that came from everyone else’s nerf, would dig everybody’s research on it to see just how far this goes, but:

Guile’s Flashkick FADC backdash is punishable by raw super? Haven’t tested anyone else tho.

I have a hunch that any FADC backdash is punishable with cr.MP xx ex FBA or even just raw FBA or super.

Am I the worst at blocking here or what, can someone else test this so I can know if I’m fucking crazy or not?

It’s also punishable by Ultra 2, which means uppercut FADC is -5 to -7 ish??

U1 got nerfed in another strange way. Why?

Yeah the U1 juggle properties were reverted back to AE status - maybe unintentional maybe to compensate for the full EX-FBA hitbox we got for the knee hit.

Despite that: CH - U1 against a grounded OP at the first try? Impressive :wink:

After a lot of playing around with multiple characters, DP FADC back is 100% without question punishable with U2, Super, cMP xx EX FBA, cMK, cMP xx Super.

Didn’t test with U1, and I need to see if DP FADC forward is punishable with U2 because then that’s a free Ultra on anybody who FADCs a DP.

All we’ve heard is that DP FADC forward is -5 frames across the board. This is a DP FADC backward that’s getting punished by a 7f Ultra.

you can do EX RCF xx lv.2 EX FA thanks to the extra frames of hitstun. So if you manage to EX roll through a projectile or something, you only need to spend 2 bars for an Ultra, not 3.
