Ultra changes (location test)

Are they seriously trying to make money off an incomplete game? FFS almost as bad as day 1 DLC.

Got short amount of training mode time in at ultra, jotted down damage readings of 3 new things he can do.
Is all with mask and claw on with u2 selected(not ultra double).

Jump in ,clst.hpxxhp roll super 496dmg

Jump in ,clst.hpxxhp roll, redfocus level1 release u2 520dmg

C.mkxx lp roll redfocus level 1 release u2 468dmg.

Did you got to test EX RCF crMP?
It still works?

Not in this build, no.
Its the same build that had been running a while.

Didn’t work in the Final Round build either, I’m starting to wonder if this is the cost of the Super buff in addition to the damage nerf it received.

they did say they will revert that ex roll change, so i wouldn’t worry about it

If the changes are as is, Vega got the short of the stick for sure.

Looked at Claw’s changes… so not only is he getting buffs that don’t really help him where it matters, but he’s also getting a needless nerf to EX RCF.

I want to slap the person deciding these changes to Vega, hard.

6 years into SF4 and Vega finally has a reason to use FADC offensively. Better late than never I guess.

Cr.lp l.rcf super seems easily hit confirmable…

But I don’t think that you have the charge to cancel it.

Thing is that at that point, your probably better of going for c.lp xx l.rcf red focus level1 to cosmic heel, Scarlett terror or something.

Its WAY easier to execute, does almost the same damage and leaves you with like 1.5 bar left instead of 0.

Plus you could do that earlier in the match than waiting for a full bar.

I thought red focus cancel was 4 bars

You are not cancelling it you’re hitting with it and crumple.

Anyway, Capcom, come out with the final changes already!!! (Waiting for his heart to get broken…)

Yeah, you are cancelling it (the move before the red focus, i.e. the RCF). But then you do not cancel the focus with a dash but let it hit, leading to a crumple.

And this red focus cancelling costs three bars since the recent build, not four.

Yea, Red Focus coupled with the Super damage nerf really make the comboable super buff pretty pointless. Red FADC enable me to do probably more damage for less meter.

My issue with red focus level 1 causing a crumple state is that it increases the comeback factor exponentially.

Am I the only one concerned about this? The little streams that I’ve watched makes it seem as though people have not yet grasped this concept.

I question why anyone would even choose W-ultra as an option at the cost of damage reduction.

I’ve seen players combo into ultra after red focus crumple many times…except they barely did any damage because they chose W-ultra. I’m sorry but I shake my freaking head at people sometimes.

I’m gonna make a prediction right now…red focus crumple at level one will be removed. It’s practically a win button at this point.

not exactly a win button, it’s more for those that can’t fadc to ultra e.g. most charge characters. red focus was designed so that ultra’s aren’t just comboable by people that has fadc. nobody that can already combo into ultra already will use red focus crumple since it will waste more meter and do less damage than their normal combo to ultra

why would you be concerned with this, half the cast could have already combo into ultra and vega not being one of them…well now the Plainfield is a bit more level.
As a matter of fact I think this is a more deadly tool in vega’s hands…cant wait to try simple hit confirmable poke strings into red cancel like st lk>cs lp>cr mp red focus…almost all of vega’s pokes can be confirmed into cr. mp but most of the time we never had the charge to do anything of substance…

every good player knows options > dmg … you could have all the damage in the world but if u cant land it ure shit tier thawk… w-ultra is gonna do wonders for vega matchups cuz vega has two very unique ultra that applies to completely different situations… I find I do a lot more damage when I have my ultra 2 stocked cuz jump ins and meaties aren’t as free. Ultra 1 has good potential but ultra 2 was necessary…now we have both…
