You know I hate to be āThat Guyā, but I said before UMvC3 was announced that if Strider found a way into this game, he would be changed. Now Strider fans arenāt happy that his Satellites are Level 3, making it a waste of a LOT of meter if you want the Chips Ahoy trap.
I told you; they changed Jill and they did the same to Strider. Double-Edged Sword when it comes to Capcom.
Strider barely changed though. Jill was totally redone.
It looks like Ouroboros would have to be toned down if it was a level one considering how easy it is to gain meter in this game.
Strider is allot better in MVC3.
Ouro looks to be one of the strongest level 3s in the game
Ragnarok looks like it has invincible frames during the start
All of his moves are spamable and reliable
His rocket/excalibur move is invincible, and it can be followed by a combo.
His damage scaling is high
He has practically the best mobility with his air dash, dahsing slashes, teleports and slides
Almost all his moves causes ground/wall bounce.
Goodness heās powerful. I donāt particularly mind though since a lot of weak characters are getting buffs.
This I have to agree with. Take Ouroburous as it is now, or a nerfed level 1. If it had the same power as a level one, the game would become *Fate of Two Ouroborosā (I actually feel even a weaker version would be Godly in nature). *The idea does seems hilarious to me to see, but that would make him the best zoner/lock-down character/rushdown character/best period in the game given he has 1 bar of meter. I would rather avoid this.
Also, anyone else praying they do something to actually help Tron and Haggar? I know Tron has a better drill, but after watching the stream, j.H took such a huge blow, and now you have to use a ground bounce as a primary method to get in. Haggar just canāt get respect these days.
All that aside, I cannot wait to use the EXTRAORDINARY guy.

On the topic of the stream, who else saw the very nice Hsien Ko, Felicia, and Morrigan play? (Arremer/Dormammu/Skrull was pretty excellent, too, considering how quickly they had to pick up Arremer.)
Most teams one touch characters anyways I wouldnāt worry about health, I would be more concerned with synergy. Personally, I donāt see the synergy between those two characters but thatās just me.
Iām going to try to create some variants on Strider teams but most definitely at least one of them will be Cl0ckās team because face it, thatās a fun team to use. Since UMvC3 will be at Evo I want to see how viable Strider is as a 2nd character and try to get Oroboros to work on a more consistent basis. Maybe try to spam Amaterasu Bloom assist or somethingā¦
