Watch rocket raccoon be the only character with legit guard breaks, now that would scream cable.
I hate Joe by design (love his games, just not him in vs. series) because he gives my boy Thor problems. Or…more like, I don’t mind him when I play him, but I hate fighting him lol. At least he’s not an ain’t easy mode character.
And I’m sure Nemesis will have the best health in the game (1.3 mil or 1.35 mill I’m calling it) for his slowness. But if his normals are faster then Thor, that’s gonna be a slap in the face.
very fun to watch, but I have to disagree with on a few points. Also, he’s probably not knowledgeable enough to realize that the re-balancing on UMvC3 will alter how the game is played, so it wouldn’t quite work as a patch.
Nova is better than the Green Lanterns. There isn’t 6 different colors, and one being DEATH that creates an entire mini-series about killing off tons of super heroes by eating their hearts only to have half of them revived 3 months down the road.

Nova is space police, but that is only where they are alike.
Quasar is the one that is similar to the Green Lanterns, but there is only one in the entire universe and stuff.
I wanted him to be in the game too, it would be nice since he can do almost everything, but we got Nova, and this makes me very happy (since he’s one of my fav characters of all time)

I still hate the fact that they chose him, but I’m way past over it. It only goes to show that the BS excuse that they pick characters according to gameplay is only a small fraction of the story. Vergil also show that gameplay is nothing. They basically pick characters that they like, if they coincide with fanfare, all the better. Why? Because they get to choose their moves, their play style, and etc… So the same way She-Hulk, X-23 turnout relevant enough, I expect Hawkeye to not be a Taskmaster clone, same with Vergil relative to Dante. And the fact that they can make Phoenix Wright work, they can make any characters work.
I wish Capcom would get characters from other franchises, enough RE (unless they give me Sheva Alomar ;), DMC, Megaman (oohps, ok, give them Megaman X or IX or whatever, so they don’t do anything drastic):
Lost Planet (it could be one of the suits, monsters, characters, or simply Wayne–I like that character a lot), Dragon’s Dogma (awful title!), Breath of Fire (not a fan), Onimusha, Monster Hunter (not a fan), Asura’s Wrath (he would cool), etc…

Have you played Phoenix Wright in MvC3 yet? Did you read my post? Niitsuma and 8ings priority should be gameplay and coming up with a good fighting game roster, without having seen PW play in the game it’s kinda impossible to say he doesn’t meet that priority. Obviously fan requests played into it, but it shouldn’t be more important than the former. And no one should feel entitled to a character because of internet forum fan requests unless Capcom makes an official poll saying, “Hey everybody, which character do you want to see in MvC3?” Which to the best of my knowledge they’ve only done once for SF4 Vanilla, and Cammy made it into console because of it, so yeah…
For anyone hating on Nova or Rocket, read Annihilation and Guardians of the Galaxy, and if you still h8 on them, please DiaF =/

I agree, and personally I never liked Megaman, and I find the character dull, even as a children’s hero. But they do have a point. If Phoenix Wright was, in part, due to fanbase feedback, and he is a lawyer, why not Megaman? Especially when he is regarded as the unofficial or official Capcom mascot.
Again, these fans need to focus their energy for a true AAA Megaman game.
If he has decent ranged options with that rocket launcher, then I doubt he’ll have more hp than Hulk. Maybe as much. Who knows until we see how he plays
in comparison to the other bulky characters.
It probably came down to a matter of which of the two would provide a new and unique gameplay experience/what that character would offer to the game that would make it diverse and that we haven’t seen before. If Megaman were in, there’s a good chance he’d be similar to Arthur in regards to projectiles and such. Wright’s moveset is out of the blue, and potentially exciting, or at least interesting. I’m mostly apathetic to his inclusion, personally, but I’m glad a lot of people got the character they wanted, and I’m at least interested in seeing how he’ll play.[/COLOR]
If they added another RE character I’d rather see Ada Wong. I wouldn’t mind seeing a Rebecca Chambers or Claire Redfield with an improved MvC2 Jill toolset either.
Then again, UMvC3 has enough RE as it is, and I hope they give Jill a ranged attack or better air movement to help her get in more than any of those.
He’s carrying a rocket launcher just like he did in alot of his RE3 encounters. And are you sure you’re remembering RE3 correctly? He could easily outrun Jill and Carlos when he did sprint, and had charges/bum rushes type moves. I think he will have a huge pool of health since he is synonymous with indestructibility but I kind of doubt he’s going to be the lumbering slow fool that people think he is. I guess it would kind of depend on what his health is and what type of character they make him, but in his one other video game appearance he was not at all slow.
I advocated Lean and Ada from the begining, and if the game had been made 5 years ago they’d probably be there, and more exciting than Chris and Jill too. Problem is I don’t think any RE characters bring anything to the table that isn’t already there. Ada would probably just be a mash up of Jill and Spencer. A stylish mash up for sure, but fairly irrelevent in a game that already has both of them. Claire or Rebecca could also have been exciting, but neither has been in a starring game role in years and years. You can say the same for Nemesis (which I have before) but Nemesis also has the distinction of one of gaming’s most popular villians. Neither of the women comes close to his infamy.
You probably played RE5 alone, in the privacy and solitude of the single player campaign. Most people who didn’t like the game it’s often because they couldn’t stand the AI. As far as co-op goes, RE5 is one of–if not–the-best experience I’ve had in a true campaign fashion. If you just don’t like how Sheva looks, or her personality, it’s all subjective. And yes, Krauser looks awesome, but we don’t need another Uroboros freak. Besides, we’ve got BIONIC…AAARM!!!

I have also beat that game 3-4 times, never once was it solo.
I never said you didn’t like. I said most people who have something negative to say about RE5 it’s because they hate the co-op AI, so they dislike Sheva, so they probably played alone. So why did you find her annoying? IMO the most annoying RE character is Ashley Graham. And I don’t even need to explain, why.
I love the RE series just as much as the next fanboy. But I really hate what they did with Jill. Her look and playstyle is kinda lame to me. Honestly her look in RE: Revelations looks pretty dumb too. Anywho that’s neither here nor there.
I’m wishing Nemesis’ Lv3 has said character running into a chopper, it flying off and him shooting his rocket launcher at it. That’d be epic. That reminds me of poor Brad Vickers, I never understood how the most pussiest STARS member ends up out lasting practically half the squad.

I won’t have minded krauser, but with chris, wesker, jill and now nemesis I don’t see that ever happening unfortunately. Oh well, I like the big lumbering types anyway so if it was a choice between krauser and nemesis I woulda picked the indestructible giant anyway. I wonder what the health values will be for the new characters. My guess is:
Nemesis: 1.3-1.15 definitely top 5
Strider: >= 800k
Firebrand: 900-950k
Phoenix: Can’t really say, lets got with 1 mill
Frank West: 1-1.05 mill ish, looks average
Vergil: 950k just like his brother
Ghost Rider: 1 mill
Hawkeye: 900k
Nova: 1.5 mill, hes supposed to be like superman right? So I don’t see him having magneto vitality
