So if Dr. Strange is Seths kind of character…what kind of character does he like?

Dapper, goatee’d gentlemen? That why I want to use him. Marvel’s original Deus Ex Machina. Too bad there isn’t a 3rd character with a goatee. They’d go so well with Joe and Strange.

He’s probably not a comics fan or Dr. Strange, but if Seth is known to throw fireballs all day…well that says something maybe about our forthcoming Sorcerer Supreme.
Now that you mention it, claearly the goatee is the source of his power. Maybe…The Goatee of Agamoto? 
At releast, Seth said he played Thor/Sentinel/someone - I forget the third.
At Evo, Seth said he loves to play Dormammu. (and on a stream once, Seth muttered in an almost eerie voice: “Oh Dormammu, how I love you…”)
Previously, Seth has said he likes Arthur.
So, except for Thor, it looks like Seth likes zoning characters with strong screen control.
Thats about what I expected from him already but this acts as good enough confirmation of him being a zoning character. The question now is what makes him “unique” amongst the zoners. Spamming homing lasers Patchoulli style? Throwing out beams? Traps? Teleports? Oh the list goes on…
I want Strange to be the Dante zoner of the game. Give him forty billion different zoning moves that can cancel into each other. Yeah.
Also, IM has a goatee.

The only issue I have with this is that he could end up making every other zoner obsolete/punks by comparison. Though if handled right, this could work. Not so much giving him a Dante long lost of moves, but plenty of unique moves with Strange properties. I trust Capcom with this. They’re making Hawkeye much different from Tasky, and Firebrand his own character archetype.
Also, to set him apart from other Zoners, maybe he should get a good list of moves, but make a nice portion of them melee based. Sort of like the opposite of Dante, you know? He is a skilled Martial artist, so it would make sense.
There is no sense nor taste. each fanbase has its own reasons for wanting their character in UMvC3. there is no significant difference between Strider and X fans, at the end of the day we all just want to be able to play and represent our character of choice. Im a Megaman X fan too i grew up playing the whole X series and acquired my own liking it to it. I admit i held my bearth for X but its obvious there’s no solid news of him participating but never the less im glad Vergil is in, but i dont appreciate people like you bashing others just because u already have your trump card in.
I’m hoping for some brilliant synergy between Dorm & Strange, and if Vergil turns out how I think he will, I will have one sexy zoning team. I’m foaming at the mouth already.
The big difference between X fans and Strider fans is that Strider fans didn’t all go to every MvC related thread and article to bitch about how their character didn’t get in. The few I did see complaining at least used proper grammar so their posts didn’t hurt my eyes and brain. And look at that, they got their character.
Megaman games were probably that much of a impact on them, blame capcom for building them up since 1987.
So…they loved the games so much they lost the ability to spell 3 letter words?
im not trying to troll back if thats what you’re expecting me to do. all im saying is bashing those you find irritating isnt really helping the situation at all.
just be glad for who ever character u wanted in. and for those who didnt well theyl get over it when the game actually drops shelves
I wonder how long this game has to be out before the “I want character x to be added in!” stops. Because nobody cares, take it to the DLC wishlist thread and leave it there.
And I’m not trying to troll at all. The vast majority of the vocal X fans are ignorant and stupid. I’m not trying to say anything about the fan base, but that much is undeniable. They’re infinitely worse than the people who were requesting Strider. I’m done here though, so the thread can get back on topic. Well, as much as a thread that is largely speculation possibly can.
Take any fan hatred to another thread. This is for discussing Ultimate.
I don’t care which fanbase is more vocal, I don’t care who is annoyed Such and such is not in the game. I don’t care that you care about that.
I want to talk about how Dr. Strange is a magical badass with a goatee making magics that have people fall down. Nemisis beating people with a Rocket Launcher (Isn’t that dangerous?!?) and how Rocket Racoon will probably be incredibly badass.
Not to mention Vergil who makes floating swords all over the place and does Iajutsu.
